Re: Visiting the past in Virginia (Olympus/Panasonic m4/3 gear)

With my Panasonic GF7, I really like the small form-factor for carrying, packing, and traveling; and also I like the somewhat retro styling of it. M4/3 is a great format for making small cameras, with small lenses. However, I still prefer a big 'ol slr for handling. With the grip on my slr's (I coul...

Re: Weather Today-In Your Vicinity/2017

A couple from today. A little dust was blowing up, but all in all a beautiful day. The first at 11mm and the second at 300mm.

Re: Long Exposures

A little Milky Way action. I don't get enough opportunities to improve my skill in this area. I still have a lot to learn. A different vantage point would've been better but that wasn't an option.

Re: unearthed grave ***WARNING***

Thanks guys. And Yildiz, I'm not in any danger. I verified that the body wasn't me. :) The hill was an old cemetery and there are a lot of graves there. This one however was a little to close to the edge and due to erosion has been exposed and is very slowly sliding down the side of the hill. My fri...

unearthed grave ***WARNING***

Apparently, some time ago, this body was buried here and the side of the hill has eroded away exposing the remains.

edit exif data

Does anyone one know of a good program for editing exif data in a raw file. The only thing I want to change is the lens info. My Minolta MD 70-210 is of course undetected and I have other setups like this also. I'd like to be able to fill the missing info in, but exiftool gui can't do it and photome...

Re: still avoiding Adobe CC rental

Really the only issue for me was that LR5 doesn't support my new Panasonic. Other than that, LR5 worked fine for me. That being said, one feature of LR6 that I've really gotten used to is the new brush-while-using-the-gradient adjusting tool. I'm not really sure what you call it, but it allows you t...

Re: Why I sold my Plustek 7200i

I still have my Nikon Coolscan V that I bought used several years ago off ebay. I had the same problem Barry, about the drivers. Nikon didn't upgrade drivers for it past Vista and even the XP drivers were messed up and required copying the newest version of one ***.dll to another folder if you wante...
