Re: Anyone bought a new scanner recently?

I have a Nikon coolscan V that I use for 35mm slides and negatives. I, too, use the vuescan software which seems to work much better than the Nikon software ever worked. It's old but does the trick. Not sure if there are any used ones out there on ebay or not.

Re: Old camera appreciation!

I just sold off the majority of my Sony gear. The only thing I still have is my old Sony A100with the 18-55 kit lens. So i guess that qualifies as "Old Camera Appreciation." Anyways, here's a shot i took this January on a family outing.

Re: Shooting in the dark

Thanks Barry. I really like the lens, especially at night. My only problem is that recently the AF quick working all together with the lens. Not sure why. It just goes to a spot where nothing is in focus and says it's good to go. It's the only lens I have that does that.

Re: Shooting in the dark

Well it's Peru, not Wyoming. Some of the young people from the church had a campout on a small piece of property we own outside of the city. These last 4 shots are all from that night. The building in B&W is actually where my wife and I sleep when we are there. It's rustic but gets the jo...

It's the first DSLR with a top ISO speed of over 1 million! That's just what you need to take a photo of a whole stadium at night lit only by a single candle!

Aren't you going to need that?
