Re: Night shots - open thread
How disappointing. Not only does the thread title NOT indicate that required posts need to be over saturated, over processed city images, without EXIF data but to cap it all, Yildiz, who is obviously a respected member, chooses to totally ignore me. Probably because I objected to his/her accusation ...

Re: Blur/Bokeh - Open Thread
Thank you, Henry. Of your two, I like the first but maybe they could both use a little more contrast or clarity?

Re: Challenge #62:"Patterns of: Frozen; Dead; Lifeless Forms"-Submissions until 01 November 2016
Well, here's something dead with someone live mocking it's tongue hanging out! This was Elizabeth's deer from the youth hunt in 2013. Emma goes with me this year Oct 29/30, so maybe I'll get to submit another. Dusty How unpleasant to see a child mocking death - your words - and with the obvious app...

Re: How wide is wide enough?
Tony, Thank you for the examples. I thought I would see more distortion at these focal lengths. Sury Sury, the link I provided to Dyxum is really quite informative. If you click on a lens, towards the bottom of the lens description you'll see a link to "Dyxum Forum Sample Images". These a...

Re: How wide is wide enough?
Sury, one of my favourite lens when I used a film SLR was an old Sigma 18mm lens. Equivalent to a 12mm a-mount. I found it entirely useable as I'm sure you'd find a 12-24 lens now. I only used 2 lenses (not strictly true) with film, the 18mm and an ancient Soligor zoom, somewhere in the range 40-150...
