Re: Minolta logo in Japan

Good find, Henry! I occasionally see the logo in offices; copiers etc. It also makes me think of my Minolta lenses :)

Fascinating and interesting collection, Valery. Thank you for sharing.

So sad for any country to be divided like this.

Re: Tiny sensor revenge gallery thread!

Beautiful flowers, Valery! Sorry to have been absent Henry, but always really appreciated your posts and pictures. It was the help of people on this forum that got me interested in photography and put me on the right track for so many things. Every time I come back it feels like (digitally) coming h...

Re: A9 versus D5 Real World Comparison...

I'd almost forgotten that the A9 came out during my absence from the forum. Pretty amazing piece of kit, and has got a lot of good publicity for Sony.

Re: still avoiding Adobe CC rental

I've learnt to live with it, but never spent enough time with the previous Adobe model to have a preference.

I do like the way Lightroom Mobile is evolving and I value the integration with the desktop apps.

Hello from the distant past (ok just a couple of months!)

Sorry for my absence. Sometimes life creeps up on you. I haven't been taking many pictures in the last few months. No good reason; just family, work, etc. Hopefully I can go through the recent messages and catch-up. Here is a picture I did take from the weekend. My latest photo project is Infra-red....

Hi Sury - I've also been away from the forum for sometime and I was really shocked and saddened to hear about your problems on going back through the old messages. It is a relief to see that some things are getting better and good to know you are in work again. Thinking of you, old friend!

Re: Tamron 90mm Macro with aperture malfunction

Thanks Jeff - it is model 272ES, SP AF 90mm F/2.8 Di macro 1:1 for Sony a-mount. Got the lens back yesterday evening by courier from Intro 2020, the Tamron agent in the UK. They had dismantled the lens, cleaned the lens, replaced the mount, and then tested before returning. All works fine now - phew...
