Re: SLT or Mirrorless and Tilt effect

Doc, yes, it would work. Same effect as tilting the lens except that it doesn't require the lens to have an extended view-angle.

Greg, you tilt the lens or back (sensor) to compensate for tilted subjects ie tall buildings and such.

Re: Is a77 high ISO really as bad as is made out?

David, which MD lenses are you using.
I might be interested in putting mine back into use.
I have four: 28mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.5 & 200mmf/2.8.

Re: SLT light show

I have a 70-400G which I use on two A77 bodies.
No ghosting with either body.
As David noted a near miss in focus can be really ugly.

Pat, it's probably a female. The red on the males tends to be brighter.

Drink more beer.
If you want it in two words, pick any two from the above.
If you want it in one, pick one ;-)

Pat, what a beautiful capture of one of my favorite birds. We have them here too.
This one is a Red-breasted Nuthatch from my office window.

Re: AF Drive speed

Doc, my experience tells me that the options are mislabeled. "Fast or Sharp" is far more descriptive.
My bird photography (typically very shallow DOF) keep rate is much, much higher with the Sharp (slow) setting.

Ditto for the A700.

I have passed this model of a self-intersecting Mobius band off as a photograph.

Re: Sony quality control problems

Other than some ID-10-t errors, I have had no problems with my A77. Expectations surpassed so far...only a few hundred clicks and some video.  Seriously, what are your thoughts on the a77? Brief summary: - No problems to date. - The time it takes to format a card is a little annoying. - ...
