Re: kingfishers part two

Very beautiful photographs. Myself saw the kingfisher several times but never came so close to take photographs like yours. Very fine indeed. You must have had a lot of patience to photograph them the way you did. What lens did you use, what focal length to be precise and from what distance did you ...

Re: Biesbosch NL 21-10-08

Kingfisher, Thank you but honestly, I would not know what to do to make it better, it's oke this way I think. We saw some "ijsvogels" = kingfisher there but they were to fast to photograph. Kevin, Thank you, the Biesbosch is a part of The Netherlands that was flooded in 1421a.d. en never b...

Biesbosch NL 21-10-08

This picture was taken on a two-day canootrip last week. At first I didn't want to take a picture of the scene but I did it anyway. I liked it much more than I thought. It reminds me of the old master paintings from typical dutch landscapes. A700 16-80ZA iso200 1/1000 Only a little sharpened in ACR....

Re: Hello, I'm from The Netherlands.

Hello Kevin, Don't worry, there are plenty of A700 jpg shooters. The A700 is a wonderfull jpg camera. Personally I like the jpg much more then the raw's. When in doubt I shoot raw + jpg but almost never use the raw afterwards. Tweaking and thinking and reshooting on site is much more appealing to me...

Kermis Heerlen

Kermis in Heerlen, The Netherlands. Shot with A700-16-80CZ combo. Still a lot to learn. Was there with the misses and did not take time enough for every shot. Some are really misaligned. Keeping them straight is not easy. Takes sometimes more time then finding a composition. Like the colours so much...

Re: Hello, I'm from The Netherlands.

Thank you David, Ofcourse I will put up pictures here, just that I almost exclusive shoot xfine jpg with the A700 contrary to the KM5D where I only shot RAW. Gotten a bit lazy, don't want to PP, just resize. Glad this is good possible with the A700. It's easy to forget just that setting that gave th...
