Re: Ice (open thread)

Hi Sig; :)

These circular ice accumulations or ice crystals are indeed a very interesting phenomenon. Never saw something similar in real life myself. Nicely observed. Looks very, very chilly...

Thank you for the both of sentiments, Sig; :D

I'm glad videos out of A6000 proved to create no issues too.

. Hi; Update: What a Leek Börek/Borek may look like finished and filmed by me, with ILCE A-6000, saved from video file and with no post-processing. :) Flickering light proved to be no issue after viewing in an external Video Editing software after all; apparently PlayMemories Home video player/viewe...

A Shoe Tree on the map is a prominent figure... Whatever the story behind it may be. :)
The foliage is still holding on strong too.

Love the eagle-catching-a-fish sculpture and the Seven Feathers....

Re: Street Vibrations Reno Nv.

. Hi David Antony; If all those motorbikes were started and roaring at the same time, they indeed would shake and vibrate all of their surroundings wall to wall, floor to ceiling, ground to sky, David! :) Looks like bikers like a little gambling while on the road. The second is a good catch of graph...

Here is a winter scene in Wyoming in 2004.

Lovely winter scene which looks almost shot in B&W if it weren't for that magically showing brown terrain in the middlle. :) Even looking feels very cold.

Re: Memory Card Suggestion for 24+ MP... (off-topic, I Know) :)

So, what are you cooking? :) Hi Henry; :D It's called Börek/Borek -sautéed leeks in phyllo dough layers. (Turkish and Greek and the majority of Mediterranean nations know this dish well and love it.) I'm going a little vegetarian with this recipe; minced meat, cheese and many other fillings can be ...

Re: Memory Card Suggestion for 24+ MP... (off-topic, I Know) :)

. Hİ, After purchasing the ILCE 6000 and the memory card with your help I've been quiet on anything related but finally I had a few hours to shoot a trial recipe video to get accustommed to the camera workflow. I like that it handled everything well including providing a pleasant DoF with the defaul...

Hi ValeryD;

These scenes carry a lot of dramatic colourization indeed with the mounted layers of snow/ice. :)

:D So cosy, David Antony, and welcome. So good to know you are still with us.

Love the inflated snowman but the snow 'Charlot' Charlie Chaplin is just very charming. (At least I believe it looks like him)

Re: Snow

. :D I love the ballerina in the snowflake avalanche too, Sig. A lot of delicate effects ... and the avalanche makes the ballerina look like weightlessly floating in the air. Nicely captured. The other shot of the snowflake ballerinas is nice too but maybe the audience's view wins the best angle for...
