Re: A Couple of Namibian Landscapes

. Thanks for sharing such lovely and interesting landscape photos of Namibian desert-like land expansions. I enjoyed them as soon as I saw them. :) I love how the B&W photo has been processed so that it is more of an art-work. Those many subtle lines of millions of monochromic shades add to the ...

Re: Ice (open thread)

. What a lovely cat and what beautifully-coloured eyes! Definitely well-concealed from any predator as well as preys in the newly-found camouflage. :D Thanks for sharing, Barry. :) Henry, I remember seeing these shots earlier in other thread, right after you made that trip. I like everything about t...

Cruise ships in the harbours of Sydney, what a beautiful combination. :)

Nicely taken and there's a lot of interest in each frame.

Thanks for sharing, Ossie. :D

Lovely flowers, Sury. :)

I agree that the firs requires lighting up to display that beauty.

Hi Sury; :)

Congratulations on your new camera, if this means you upgraded.

I like how the closest crop shows so many fine details. Nicely cropped.

Hi David; :D

Beautiful subtle surface details show as the light hits on the translucent petals and the colours are wonderful.

Indeed, the bigger photo is much more impressive.

Re: Spring has Srpung

. Hi JBTaylor; :D Must admit that I had prepared myself to see some green fields and maybe tulip shoots or narcissus covering hill sides, somewhere close to your golf courses, but here we are looking at some of the nicest winter snow scenes... :) Not shot in B&W but snow sure turns the scenes in...

Re: Helping Friends with Short Art Films

. Hi Sig; :D I'm genuinely enjoying viewing the shooting process through your eyes and documentation. Many cinematographic tricks and tips are revealed through your shots. Dramatic dance figures are also very telling. Waiting between the takes and adjustments must be hard for the actors/dancers ! :D...

Re: Tamron 15-30mm 2.8

. Thank you, JBTaylor. :D Only a random and ordinary way of working/parking these spools it may be and whichever reason they are there for, the combination of elements is making sense in a rustic way. The colours, the rust, the crisscross straw mat curling around the spools... the composition highli...

Very nice shots, JBTaylor. :D

Production is nicely executed, if you ask my opinion. The rusty spools make for contrasting subjects against the dried grass and the dramatic clouds.
The lens is good indeed. Enjoy! :)

Re: Helping Friends with Short Art Films

. Hi Sig; :) Truly enjoying the documentation and your clean approach to shooting the photos, with clear views of how each step was rethought and configured to create smoothly-running working environment. The mine itself is very interesting for its internal shape and walls/ground. Thanks for sharing...
