Re: Hasselblad lenses for the E-mount system?

This has got to be the absolute ugliest most stupid camera I have ever seen. April 1 is too far away unfortunately.

Re: spare parts for A900 A850?

There are some opinions on this over at dyxum, dpr and the sony flickr site too. Many doubt the correctness of the information.

Re: Should I purchase another a850/900 ??

I can only speak for myself of course, but I decided a month ago to get me another A900. I do not use it, it is tucked away in its box. If the worst happens at least I will be set for many many years as I have no need for anything better. If Sony does come up with a brilliant successor I would still...

Re: A55 review now up

Great review David, thanks a lot for the time you took to write this. Its objectivity contrasts to many other reviews I've read here and there. I am still very much an OVF-guy but if and when an A77 (or A99 ...?) comes out I will certainly go and look at it.

Re: Image quality of A33

Here's what: I've just spent a week working with the A55 only, instead of the A900. While I am sure I have many excellent pictures and few technical issues, I doubt I will do this again. I had far too many lost pictures even walking round with the camera all ready and switched on. An A900 successor...

Thanks for this info David, you probably know I'm a Zeiss guy :D so I'm looking forward to hearing the conclusions.

Re: alpha mount future - question for DK

Glad to see G and not CZ. Walt Why? Better build quality, Optics equal or better. New design team that's actually doing something rather than sitting on a old reputation. And you don't have to pay for the Z decal Walt Oh boy! And white is black and black is white. Have a nice day.

Re: LR and camera raw

mmm Camera Raw is a plugin for PhotoShop. Photoshop run it every time you try to open a RAW file. LR have a similar engine, with similar functions and sliders than ACR, but it is DA engine: it runs all the time, if you are correcting RAW files you'll have more tools than when you work with JPGs. Th...

LR and camera raw

Hi all,

I am trying out LR3 and can't for the life of me find out whether LR uses/requires camera raw (v6.1), where, if it does, this is installed and if it gets installed automatically when you install LR3.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Bob

CES

After seeing the SONY announcement at CES I think I have witnessed the beginning of the end of the Alpha line above 700. Nothing absolutely nothing new to say neither about cameras nor about lenses. We've seen the 900 go over into an 850 (imho just to get rid of the stock of parts of the 900). No re...

Re: Is the Zeiss 16-35mm a warm & fuzzy lens?

Are there any believers or doubters out there regarding the Zeiss 16-35mm? I am thinking of picking one up. I presently have the 24-70 and 135 for my A900. Any other suggestions in a good wide angle zoom?. Respectfully Gaetan Dery http://www.photostudiodery.com I would not doubt for a second. I hav...

Re: Actually, I didn't like DXO very much.

it collapsed (Stable Win XP Machine) too many times (i'll say, at least one crash for three images), it had the tendency to produce sharpening artifacts even if I turned off sharpening altogether, and it seemed to apply NR when I wanted it not too. It has many strength, but I'm really not sure it's...
