Re: The future Alpha 99
I tend to think FF will become more of a recluse niche area for rich enthusiasts with the polarization and reduction in units sold now and in the future, that’s if they don’t solve the cost of producing large sensors that is, 8x-10x the cost of an APS-C sensor. Trends show full-frame digital camera...

Re: RX Nex? Seriously?
Why would you want to use APS-C lenses on a FF body? Unless you were in a tight corner I fail to see the logic. Now folks might want to use FF lenses on an APS-C body I get that part. Many APS-C lenses give more coverage than their native format would utilize. Most have an image circle that would a...

Re: First time I've had this request...
An extraordinary request might be worth an extraordinary re-negotiation of the contract. Perhaps this surprise comes at an awkward time, perhaps where your position to turn them down or ask for additional compensation is at its weakest. Would it bee too awkward, in the future, to figure this scenari...

Re: Sony Workers Are Sent to the Boredom Room
Hey, work is work, an hour commute isn't much for many North Americans. I'm just amazed it took Sony two years to come up with such a simple solution for, you know, employing a person that is under their employ.

Now the 18-105mm f/4 G is a monster--reminding me very much of the old Minolt...

Re: Updates to RX100 and RX1
I'm excited about these updates. Sony had two hit cameras, and developed on the winning formulas quickly and with minimal fuss. I'm pleased to see that there's no premium on the removal of an AA filter (I'm looking at you, Nikon), and that the RX100 can reach the full potential of its hardware (at l...

Re: Mirror-less bubble bursting?
If mirrorless sales are doing poorly, I think it is because of the wave of entry-level full-frame cameras which became available. As an APS-C DSLR shooter, I considered getting a full-frame camera so that the larger sensor justified the bulk of the DSLR format, or getting a mirrorless camera so that...

Re: Oh God, they killed Flickr!
I only got into Flickr when Sony asked me to moderate their Sony Camera Club , but I was glad I did because the formatting, organizational tools, and interface were all so nice, and the community structure really worked well (though it's no PCA). I'm not a "heavy" Flickr user, in that I do...

Re: Oh God, they killed Flickr!
I'm not crazy about the changes either. My biggest complaint is that the previews on my home page are too big. I don't have to click on anything to see it larger, and anybody subscribed to me doesn't have to either--this means I'm not getting the same useful page-view metric to see how attention-get...
