Anyone lost an A700 and Sony 2470z?
I saw these from the same ebay seller and it all looks very suspect: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=230295932115 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=230295939778 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP...

Re: 70300G First play
I agree, I wouldn't think of an exchange unless I was as sure as I can be that there is a fault. Hence all the posts and seeking advice. I will be giving it another trial before sending back but wouldn't take the risk of missing the 7 day exchange taking into account the feedback I have had so far. ...

Re: 70300G First play
Thanks David
No they were all shot in the garden, nothing between the lens and the fur ball. No filters. Agree lack of experiance doesn't help but I need to find out befre the 7 days are up so I can get a straight swap.

Re: 70300G First play
Sorry David I missed the post regarding file format.
They were all cRAW. Is there a chance it is still user error and not the lens. There are so many settings I could well have messed something up.

I wish I hadn't sold the 350 now, makes me see the point of having a backup.

Re: 70300G First play
Just took a few snaps with the 1680z, all ISO800 8mm f/5.6 Scale then 1005 crop. Sorry about the subject mater. I do hope it isn't the camera as that has past it's 7 days so it will mean repair and wait. http://www.stableimaging.co.uk/images/camtest_01a.jpg http://www.stableimaging.co.uk/images/camt...

Re: 70300G First play
The tape is where they do spot checks to ensure all contents are present! They are going to replace it once I send it back. I will take a copy of the serial first though. Definitely a problem this 100% crop was taken at 1/1000 ss http://www.stableimaging.co.uk/images/70300g_08b.jpg I took a few and ...

Re: 70300G First play
One thing I did notice was the seal on the box:
makes me wonder if this lens has already been returned by someone else.

Re: 70300G First play
If it is a lemon better I find out sooner rather than later so I can get a replacement. Squirrel wasn't wanting to play this morning but managed to catch him/her a couple of times. First shot is ISO1600 1/320ss Scale: http://www.stableimaging.co.uk/images/70300g_06a.jpg 100% http://www.stableimaging...

Re: 70300G First play
Hi Olaf, as Sonolta points out it is most likely the user rather than the equipment. So busy thinking about keeping the lens at 300 f5.6 I didn't even think about shutter speed, 1/50 was just asking for failure. I will try to get outside again today and be a bit more careful and less of a numpty :oo...
