Re: Godox TT350, TT685S and X Pro S controller

Some thoughts after extensive testing of the flashes. TT350 Quite like this small flash 2 x AA cycle times are faster than the F20M and it's far more versatile, except it can't do the TTL Optical Wireless which probably won't be a problem as it's got the radio build in. Controls dead easy LCD is als...

Re: Fuji X10 on it's last legs....

Problem is low light one reason for the Fuji was the faster lens and covered a common range. If I start buying into another ILC system then the speed isn't there unless you get bigger more expensive lenses (same for e mount if I got a body). I see Sony have a new RX100VI, might push prices down on p...

Godox TT350, TT685S and X Pro S controller

I have 3 review units to play with I previously used the Li-ion version of the 685S (basically the same flash just this one is 4 x AA)
Any questions hit me I've got them here to experiment with. So far XPro S controller is looking very nice I will add additional thoughts as time goes by!

Re: How Much Exposure Error Can Be Made With The Fuji X-T2 And The Olympus E-M1 Mark II And Still Have A Usable Image?

It is surprising because the Fuji's do have good DR at least the older ones I used no complaints there. But I've very little experience of micro 4/3 so if it's doing that well people will be pleased. I've nothing against users who go for those cheaper cameras they've improved a lot since I used the ...

Re: Fuji X10 on it's last legs....

I don't mind buying online I've had some bad experiences with ebay though and removal of feedback in cases where the seller tried to scam me. So I try to give that a miss if I can bar small items. There isn't a lot of choice most makers abandoned the premium compact segment which means makers like S...

Re: Fuji X10 on it's last legs....

Hi Valery outside Europe is a no no really customs charges/VAT. Not worth it unless you get a guaranteed cost cover (one stop digital did that used to buy lenses from them 100% legit company) I have a decent phone takes good photos and video clips (lumia 950)...but I'm old school I just can't get my...

Fuji X10 on it's last legs....

Sad to say having problems powering on the camera it no longer works twisting the lens to power on. Only way to get it to work is to use the playback button (it has a feature to show images/videos when off with the button), with that and a half press to the shutter, which gets you power even if off....

Re: Why it's time to move away from Lightroom

I've been using both now fairly extensively and yes some notable improvements over the first play around. RT defaults are massively improved over previous versions lens corrections, exposure are vastly better than they were much quicker to tweak from this. Performance on RT flies on the new pc (and ...

Re: GAS is back - Sony FE 100 STF

Slightly OT but I had a quick browse on ebay and some of the s/h prices on lenses (and cameras) are pretty damn nice. Beercan £50, older bodies can be bought for very little. Seems Sony's lack of interest in A mount is to bargain buyers a gold mine, really low prices and I didn't pay a lot back then...

Re: Sony Alpha A99 Field Test Report

Send me an Olympus and I will it's quite easy. The Fuji X models I used all fudged the ISO values by a stop or so it was very obvious shooting them next to my other cameras.

Re: Model(s) Fatigue - Any suggestions?

So far no problems on the A57 or A77. If the A77II were more realistic on price it would be worth a look, but it's about the same £1000 (just under) it was in 2014. I know Brexit messed things up a bit, even so can't see any reason to consider it other than I have the grip that I don't use often tha...

Pc upgraded...

Just a few thoughts for those on PC contemplating a pc update. I did a new build based on the Ryzen 5 1600 moving from an FX6300 Despite the negative vibes the FX series got I was never unhappy with the CPU, but time rolls on 2012 (originally had a 4 core Athlon) Fast forward to now the Ryzen beats ...

Re: GAS is back - Sony FE 100 STF

Even if I were an E mount user I still balk at the prices on some of the lenses: https://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Sony/Sony-E-Mount-Lenses/Sony-FE-24-105mm-f4-G-OSS-Lens I think I paid £100 for an as new Minolta 24-105mm OK it's not F4 across the range but considerably smaller and surprisingly go...
