Re: A900 and MF Lenses

Sorry for my English Writing ... I'm learning :-).

I was searching for the correct expression to talk about the Sound the camera does when there is a confirm focus event. (when the red square lights on).

Next time i will use the confirm focus sound , instead of that.

Frank

With Confirm AF adater autofocus is almost Perfect on A900

I have tried some MF lens on the A900 : 135mm 2.8 , 50mm 1.4, 50mm 1.2, 28mm 2.5, 200mm 3.5, 500 4.5 (this old Pentax ! ), and my lovely Tamron adaptall 300mm 2.8. And i can confirm that the focus is not so an issue on the A900. I will certainly say that is 2 time easier that on the A700 (who has al...

28-70G on the road to meet my A900...

Hello, After reading some user review about the 28-70G on the A900 ... i have decided to give it a second chance. In the Past i have got this beautiful lens for my Minolta 7D and make come tested between the 28-75D. The result was that the difference for the price was not really there. The G lens wa...

Re: Minolta 135mm f/2.8 on the way...

I am waiting to received a 1.4x APO II of minolta, because i have seen very good review on it, and it is for my 200mm Minolta (it is not fitting a lot of back lens..). On the other hand i have the old 1.4x Sigma EX and the Tamron SP 2x. Both are ok. Yes on the Beercan the 1.4 looks ok ... but i have...

Re: Definitive A900/D3X noise/ISO samples

So many different things are going on under-the-hood with these cameras that it's almost impossible to do a perfect test of this type. The best thing to do if you are a raw shooter is take non-underexposed files from each camera and use several processors to see what you come up with as an optimum ...

Re: Sony 50/1.4 Review on DPreview.

I have took a lot of shot since i have the A900 with the 50mm F/1.4 and i can say that the lens is performing very good even at F/1.4. Yes it is not as sharp as when you stop down to F/2.8 and more ... but in good focus, you are not seeing to much lost of sharpness in the middle. But this is true, t...

Re: Definitive A900/D3X noise/ISO samples

hello David, The Nikon again look to have a gain of light compare to the Sony. The white balance is a little bit warmer ... making the blue pattern less apparent. But you are right the ISO 3200 and 6400 looks better. In fact the ISO3200 of the Sony looks like the ISO6400 of Nikon. But, this is stran...
