Re: Tulips - Washington Lake Park, Albany, NY

Congrats to your daughter. A long road indeed. Any progress should be recognized and appreciated.
Nice colors too. Looks like mid day light.

Back to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Replays aren't always bad and the peacefulness of the place is always worth the trip. a77II and the Tamron 150-600mm. https://a4.pbase.com/g12/64/511964/2/169187348.45y4Blli.jpg https://a4.pbase.com/g12/64/511964/2/169187394.fNb5VToZ.jpg https://a4.pbase.com/g1...

at Assateague Island near Ocean City Maryland. Went to play golf but the wind was overwhelming. Re: Another Concert

Thanks for commenting Yidiz and Sury. Sury, it is a portrait lens after all. Most times, concert photography is about shots from the waist up. Of course, distance from the stage matters. My decision to take this lens was a simple one. The 70-200 is a white beast and draws attention. I wanted stealth...

Another Concert

The Ramshead Tavern is a small venue in Annapolis, Maryland. It attracts some pretty big names that once performed for much larger audiences. It's only us hardcore music heads that continue to support the efforts of these musicians. Last night I attended the Adrian Belew performance. He has quite a ...

Re: San Jose Auto Show

Good job Sury. Some thoughts. Your mileage may vary. 1. I took public transportation to the auto show as well. If not for the smallness of the RX1, I probably would have taken 1 body and two lenses. I never felt unsafe while carrying the bag but I wasn't completely comfortable either. 2. Two bodies ...

Re: Concert Pics`

As I alluded to above, cropping a 24 megapixel sensor for this format leaves plenty of resolution. The RX1 intrigued me from the day it was released. The innovative design and the fact that it used the same sensor as the a99 made it an obvious 2nd camera choice (albeit an expensive choice). Glad I b...

Re: Concert Pics`

Once resigned to a fixed focal length, lighting and composition is all you have left. 50mm may have worked. Same goes for a 24mm. The 35mm of the RX1 seemed just about right for where I was sitting. Building on the last discussion of multiple cameras and lenses, I bet the RX100V with it's zoom capab...
