Re: any chance on the 8mm Sigma fisheye for Alpha?
I guess Sigma answered my question...... I tried to mail them, as well to HQ as our local importer here, but I got no answers. On the Sigma site though, there stil was a remark, that the release date for the sony mount would be given later. That remark is now gone, which suggests ther will be no Son...

Re: AF in artificial lighting conditions.
Welcome, and I'll give it a try asap. For now, I shoot a lot with 14mm, 24mm, 15 mm fisheye. Wide angle lenses can have some limitations, that's why I normally stop down tot F8 or F11. So I use them in MF, set at 1m.... This describes a test for backfocus. http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_...

Re: How many flashes for Real Estate Photography?
Interiors, not my most favorit job, but for my website, I have to do a lot of it. Taking pictures in interiors, I always hated the lightfall away from the windows, making it darker along the walls. And, in trying to get a balanced lighting, its difficult including the windows, they are mostly overex...

Re: Minolta MD Lenses modified on A900?
I tried an MD 250mm mirror last week, but as long as no manual, the a900 reports "no lens mounted". At least aperture priority would have been nice.

I got one of those, and tried some wireless setup. Didn't work.
Maybe you answered my question, I'll look into it!

any chance on the 8mm Sigma fisheye for Alpha?
I guess that's my question, is there any chance the Sigma 8mm fisheye will be made for the alpha mount? I'm now triyng to get into some VR360 shooting, my findings are: The Canon G7 I use with the Nikon Fisheye, gives circular pictures. These are super easy to stitch in Ptgui. The only thing is the ...

Re: Always Back up...
Yes, that's just it. How do I make a reliable backup, and where do I store it? Our server here eats backup tapes, I love that machine ( not really, tapes are a crappy backup solution in my eyes ) My answer is external drives as a backup, just bought a few TB HD's. Works for me, when I don't forget t...

Re: maximum length of SAL-70-400G
Maybe its to soon to judge, but the looks of the lens are not my favorite.
If the lens performes as well as promised, lets say in accordance with the 70-300G, then I'll order one!
I can't wait to read some reviews.

Re: hello from Holland again
get a 12-24mm Sigma for A900 and get the rooms to look really huge... David I used to bring with me the 7D, with sigma 15mm fisheye, corrected with Ptlens. Now I'm trying the a900 with Sigma 14mm. What was never a problem, with the 15 mm i couls shoot easily in the direction of the flash, with the ...

hello from Holland again
I'm Paul, from Holland, got my a900 from the UK....... Not shooting professionally, but mainly related to my job: www.cadzandbad.info Many interior pics are taken with flash and wide or fisheye lenses, corrected with Ptlens an Photoshop. Just started with panoramas VR360, as a try. I take not many p...

Re: a900, display very bright an crisp, pics underexposed
Thnx for the answers. Still, on any compact camera that's just what you do, check if your pics are taken right. I'm sure after some time I'll get it right, but it will take a bit practise, as did with the 7D. I just hoped it was a bit easier. As I've been reading, the display is about the same as th...

a900, display very bright an crisp, pics underexposed
Hi community! As a long time minolta photographer, since the days of XD7, X700, I presently use a Dynax 7D, an newly the a900. The 7D is mainly set aside because of reviews stating that on the a900, evaluating taken pictures is hihgly improved. And FF is finally back to the days that we had control ...
