Very, very nice, Sury.
I like all of your images, but if I were to pick a favorite (not easy to do!) it would be your 5th image - the one you titled "The Trail".

Re: Tiny sensor revenge gallery thread!
There is an old saying that the best camera is the one you have with you, and that is the case with the image below. This shot was taken with my cell phone last month when I stepped out the door of the B&B at which we were staying a few miles outside of Innsbruck, Austria. It had been raining in...

Re: Photos with evidence of the photographer
This definitely is not a case of inadvertent evidence of the photographer, but I am not sure if there is a better way to categorize it. A6502970.jpg This was taken last month at the Swarovski Crystal museum / gallery / store near Innsbruck, Austria. I was inside the Crystal Dome, which is a multi-fa...

Re: 2 Cameras at the Auto Show
After more than a half century as an aerospace engineer, redundancy is automatic for me. The reduction in weight and space when traveling by air with two cameras is the reason I first started with a mirror-less camera, Then I discovered that I really liked some of the other benefits of the design, a...

30 minutes earlier we were talking about Fibonacci numbers with the tour guide. :) Sury My parents were dedicated travelers who visited out-of-the-way place all over the world. One of their comments that the remark above brought to my mind was that they were continually being surprised by people th...

If you don't need a strong catalog option, and you are only editing Sony raw files, Capture One is free for Sony. I'm not sure the license's price for the other versions... I tried the Capture One free version for Sony and if I remember correctly it's not completely unlocked like the paid version. ...

In addition to my family photos, I took a number of shots of the campus of Lewis & Clark College, which is located in the middle of a forest on a hilltop above the Columbia River Valley.
Here are a few of them:

School Days
My Granddaughters are both in college in Portland, Oregon, albeit in different Schools - Lewis & Clark College and Reed College. On Family Weekend last month, my daughter and I visited to spend a little time with them, and I took advantage of the opportunity to see the campus of Lewis & Clar...

Re: My haitus
I was diagnosed with Cavernous hemangioma (tumors in brain whose location in my case make them inoperable) which caused involuntary movements in my left leg and hand. I was sorry to hear about this, but I am optimistic about your future health. Every individual is different, but a Cavernous hemangi...

Re: Oregon Coast
I have been in love with this coastline since we first drove along it in stormy weather in 1967, and I have returned several times. Here are two renditions of another image that I took on my drive along the coast a few weeks ago. I originally thought that it should be a black and white image, but I ...

Re: Oregon Coast
Love the black and white pictures, Tom, very atmospheric. That is part of the reason I drive the Oregon Coast (and some of the coast of Northern California) whenever I have a reason to be in that area with a little free time. I live on the coast of Southern California, and enjoy the scenery here, b...

Note that there were two Minolta A Mount 17-35mm lenses, an f/2.8-4 (D) and an f/3.5 G Harvey, Thank you. Did not know that two versions exist. I was looking at f/2.8-4 as recommended anyway. Sury If you decide that you want a Minolta 17-35 2.8-4, let me know. I have one which seems to be in very g...

Re: Oregon Coast
Nice shots Tom. I like the second one. Sury I think that this one is my favorite of the images that I shot while the general lighting was still bright and most of the colors vivid. I shot some additional images later, and also the next morning before the fog lifted. I think I like those better when...

Oregon Coast
After helping to move my older granddaughter into the dorm for her Freshman year of college in Portland, Oregon, I drove home via the cost of Oregon and Northern California. It's a drive I have done multiple times, but I always enjoy the scenery. On this occasion, near Gold Beach I encountered fog m...
