Re: Adobe releases Lightroom 3 Beta update
Really impressed with the results I am getting. This is now my favourite RAW-developer. One thing that bothered me about DXO and what kept me from buying it was that it didnt get rid of the colour spots.. something LR3B2 has no problems with. So basically DXO required two passes of NR, one in DXO it...

Sub 1000USD FF? If that happens to be the 850? Yes please.
I suspect even you would pick one up Sonolta.

Positive, if the price is right. Might be something for me.

Re: Man, Sony had better come with some KILLER FIRMWARE UPDATE!
I would add, if we are so bug free how come we still have the eye to VF, press ISO button and back LCD lights up?? Been around for ages, still not fixed! Hmm. Maybe it was designed that way? Though it sounds odd, never noticed it myself though. Still a drop in the pond compared to what others have ...

Re: Man, Sony had better come with some KILLER FIRMWARE UPDATE!
Well while the JPEG-engine could be updated etc.. its nice to see Sony releasing cameras that are stable, in terms of no serious bugs.. Like the Canon 5DII or the new Pentax K-7 (remains to be seen if that is a hardware issue or software) which had to/has to be updated before they can operate to spe...

Re: A800 under $2K Initial List Price - FF or APS-C?
Ok this is very spooky. Either A1000 works for Sony or he has very good contacts.
A800 reserved for FF = Came true
Using the same sensor = Came true
New FF camera for under 2k = Remains to be seen
A800 for 1.5k = Remains to be seen, but I hope so!

How so, did he hint at a price?Sonolta wrote:If that's the case then A1000 (Filmmaker) works for Sony as predicted. I won't purchase an 850 at 2K unless the unit performs way better than the a900 does.kingfisher wrote:what i know , is that the A850 a third lower price have than the A900

So will you be dumping Sony/Minolta now, heading for Nikon?Sonolta wrote:The title of this thread appears to be spot on! Sony is not yet producing great DSLR's...in-fact they continue to release worse bodies containing reduced feature sets and zero innovation. Cheapskate bastards!

Re: Sony Alpha a850 Complete Instruction Manual Download
There has to be a notable price difference for the A850 to be a logical move. Simply increasing the price of the A900, just won't cut it at all (do we really think they have low margins on that product at current prices, I don't buy that myself) Pretty much. I'm interested in the camera, I hope the...

Re: here we go again -
I'm pretty sure you will find the new cameras both depressing AND unexpected or exciting. I do not expect any of them to use the A700-A900 legacy body design and layout formulae. I do expect the addition of USP features, and not necessarily video. Well they better design something better in terms o...

Not a fan of the grip either. Seems HX1 stole the grip all for himself. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3374/3603099031_35d8acc43c.jpg While its small (has a very abrupt "turn" of the grip), I think something similar could have been fitted to the 2-3 series without consumers complain...

Re: A500/550
I bought a KM5D, then I bought an A100, I kept my KM5D, sold my A100, and then purchased the A700 and I still use the KM5D today. The A100 produces cold colors compared to the KM5D, and I think many will agree that the A100 slightly underexposes in comparison. Thanks Sonolta. Yeah even compared to ...

Re: A500/550
Cant be long till that Danish mag comes out. The guy wrote the message about a month ago, so the issue should be out in early august?
Btw, how does the 5D body compare to the A100? I was going to get the 5D at first, but got the A100 once Konica Minolta went belly up.
