I had a play with a 580 with CZ 24-70 the other week - a great camera for what is being offered and if I had the cash available now I would probably look at this as an upgrade from my 700. Not sure that the roadmap for EVF is a good idea but only time wll tell... The 580 should satisfy most demands ...

OK - lets talk EVF! When you look through the viewfinder it is obvious that it is electronic BUT the quality is still very good. One thing I think I can say is we had an internal focus group on new cameras. Other guys are a lot more serious than me and when asked what was vital MLU and AEL were probably top. Think if feedback gets to the right people then it does address a lot of concerns
