Yes I'm still taking dog pictures.

Well, I'm still taking dog pictures. I gave you all a long break but felt compelled to share my latest. It was shot at a dog show so problematic lighting conditions go without saying. Tonka sm.jpg This is Tonka Toy. No joking that's his name. He's the sire of my two Berners. His owner complimented m...

Re: Aster, when do we get a new challange?

It's great to have a challenge again. I have some great ideas, hopefully at least one of them will work.

Aster, when do we get a new challange?

Aster,

My camera is gathering dust and it's a least partially your fault as I've had nothing to challenge me. :)

How about a new challenge?

JB, It's in Virginia, near Harrisonburg. Yildiz, Thanks, just imagine how much fun it was to play with the four of them. Questa was defiantly my favorite, here she is helping me with my shoe laces. Help with my shoes.jpg But, Deb fell in love with the big boy of the litter, Quito. Big Boy Quito.jpg ...

Questa the Explorer

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending Sunday on a friends' farm. It's a working farm, they raise Angus Cows and Bernese Mountain Dogs. The mother of our two dogs recently had another litter which was seven weeks old. It was a blast to play with the puppies and take some pictures. My favorite wa...

Old time fishing boats in Aruba

Although these are very colorful, they don't look very sturdy for ocean going vessels.

Re: Changing 72 DPI to 300 DPI?

My image is actually 59 1/2" x 48 1/2" large @72. Motor Motor, Perhaps it's not important but an Alpha 700 cannot produce this resolution. 59 1/2" x 48 1/2" large @72 would be 4,284 by 3,492 pixels. The maximum resolution in 3:2 Aspect Ratio is 4272 x 2848 which would be approxi...

Re: Changing 72 DPI to 300 DPI?

Motor, It sounds like you are not shooting in high enough resolution in jpeg. What "Image size" is your a700 set to? As Tom pointed out, for a 4" x 6" at 300 dpi the resolution of the picture needs to be at least 1200 x 1800. The dpi saved in the xref data is really immaterial. W...

Cute puppy, his ears are still too big for his body! IMO dogs make great subjects as they never complain.

I would like to take credit for making the cake but by cooking skills are more or less confined to Microwaveable Beefaroni and steaks on the grill. My sister in law made the cake.

Kevin,

As soon as I saw the drawing, before reading your text, I thought to myself, "Calvin and Hobbes," my all time favorite cartoon. I ordered one and look forward to getting it.

....how'd she do? Fourth out of eight in 12 to 18 month Bitches. There is some tough competition at the Specialty Shows and she was the youngest in her class having just turned a year old this month. It's cool to see a room with 100 Bernese Mountain Dogs. Here is a fun picture while getting ready. ...
