Re: RAW and JPG

Thanks Harvey.

That is probably what I need. Yesterday I found some functions in Lightroom that I didn't know before.

RAW and JPG

Hello. I've always shot only jpegs, but I've read in this forum and photo magazines that RAW is the way to go to get the best quality of the pictures. So this weekend I made some shots of birds (flying kind not ladies) with setting RAW+ (RAW and JPG). When I came home and checked the photos I was a ...

Thanks for the replies.
I've added a bit more brightness. Does it look better?

Re: Sony 18-250 lens

Thanks for the replies David and alphaPDX. It seems that there's no problem with my lens. I took some shots yesterday to try it out and I am very satisfied with the result.

Sony 18-250 lens

I've just bought a used Sony 18-250 lens. It seems to be in very good condition but I have one question about the focus ring. When I have the camera in manual focus mode and turn the focus ring it makes some kind of grinding sound. And the focus ring also feels kind of stiff. Is this normal or do yo...

David
I own a KM5d, does it have the MF confirm light?

Re: Alpha 200

How is the old Minolta "Big Beercan" compared to the Tamron lens regarding photoquality such as sharpness, bokeh etc.
I've read so many positive posts regarding the bbc on Dyxum and other sites. But is it really that good?

Aperture of focus sensor

Hi there!
I've red a lot of comments about the aperture of the focus sensor. As I understand the A700 and A900 has got a 2.8 aperture focus sensor but the rest of the Sony DSLR and KM doesn't. Does this mean that my KM5D won't focus properly if I use a lens with aperture 2.8 or 1.7?
