Re: Who actually made these AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Zoom Len

So far, the Soligor, Quantaray, and ProSpec versions of this Lens all work on my Konica Minolta 7D. The two photo's of both Lenses were taken with the Soligor 75-200mm Lens on the KM7D. They all Auto Focus, and the Aperture (F/stop) readout does display on both the internal Viewfinder Display, and t...

Re: Who actually made these AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Zoom Len

Here are Photo's of both of the Lenses, side by side. The venerable MINOLTA MAXXUM AF 70-210mm f/4.0 Lens is obviously on the Left, while a QUANTARAY MX AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Lens is on the Right. While these two Lenses are Not identical, they do share some similarities. Both Lenses Focus from Infinity ...

Re: Who actually made these AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Zoom Len

Hi D.K.! You may very well be on the right track about this Lens, being of a Hoya (Tokina) design after all. If they did indeed make any Minolta AF Lenses, wouldn't they also have had access to the Minolta ROM Chips, Lensboards, and the Stainless-steel Mounts, for the Lenses? That would certainly ex...

Re: Who actually made these AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Zoom Len

Hi, thank's for replying! I still hope there's someone out there that knows the answer to my question. Since posting my question, I have found the List that I compiled, of all of the different "Brand" Names that I have seen, of this same Lens. In reference to this AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Z...

Who actually made these AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Zoom Lenses?

I have a few of this same AF Lens with different brand names. A Soligor, a Quantaray, and a ProSpec. (Sigma once made a series of ProSpec AF Lenses.) I believe these Lenses were made from the mid-1980's to 1990's. The Lens is an AF 75-200mm f/4.5 Macro Zoom Lens, and was Made In Japan. The Lens's Sp...

Need Info On The PermaPak System 6 Rechargeable Battery Pack

I just purchased a used PermaPak System 6 and Rechargeable Battery Pack Module For Flash Units, in very good condition, and a Quantum Flash Cable with Module to fit my Minolta 3600 HS (D) Flash Unit, that also fits my Sunpak PZ 5000AF Flash Unit. The Control Module has Two Output Sockets for two Fla...

Re: Sunpak PZ 5000AF Flash: ADI-TTL for KM 7/7D? NEW INFO!!

Hi Dusty, Hi Frank, It took awhile, but I got some more info on the Sunpak PZ 5000AF. Went to a "Camera Show", where you can buy, sell, or trade. Someone there had the Flash unit with the Minolta (MX) owner's manual for sale. I told him that I have the same Flash and was looking for a manu...

Re: Yashica AF and Minolta AF

Their mount was directly based on Minolta AF. Since the lenses are so cheap, you could maybe try a mod. But they were not very good - they were made by Tomioka optical factory, not the Yashica-Contax Zeiss controlled unit. David David, Thank You for the reply. I think I'll give it a try anyway with...

Can You Re-Chip An ACCESS*TEMPO(by Sigma?)AF 75-200 F2.8-3.5

I have an ACCESS*TEMPO (by Sigma?) AF 75-200mm F2.8-3.5 Lens that I use with my Minolta Maxxum 9000AF. I want to use this Lens on my Maxxum 7 and KM7D, but it won't A-F or display F-Stops, and I believe it's due to the ROM Chip inside the Lens. I'd like to use this Lens more, because from 75-135mm i...

Re: Yashica AF and Minolta AF- Switching Lens Mounts

Is it possible to remove a Yashica AF lens mount and replace it with a Minolta AF lens mount and still maintain Aperture control? The design of both bayonet mounts are so similar (Four Screws, AF Drive Cam location, 5-Pin Contact location, Lens locking detent) that the only major difference is the l...

Re: minolta 7d-purchase or avoid?

Hi 2tallpaul, Just came across this post. If you decided to get the KM7D, Good Choice! Ever since I first held my KM7D up to my eye, I knew I made the right decision. My first SLR Cameras were all Konicas (T4,FS-1,FT-1) with Hexanon Lenses, along with a 200mm F2.8 Soligor C/D Lens. My first Minolta ...

Re: Sunpak PZ5000 AF Flash: TTL-ADI compatible for Maxxum 7/

Hi Dusty, Thanks for the bit of info on the PZ5000AF. It's good to hear that it works on a Sony DSLR. The one thing that concerned me was, if the Flash-Trigger Voltage is correct for a Maxxum 7 or KM 7D DSLR. Near as I can tell, (from some old Shutterbug, Modern Photography, and Popular Photography ...

Sunpak PZ 5000AF Flash: ADI-TTL for KM 7/7D? NEW INFO!!

Hi, I've just purchased a Sunpak PZ5000 AF Flash, in excellent condition, for Konica Minolta cameras. I'd like to know if anyone that has used, or has this Flash can verify that it is ADI compatible with my Minolta Maxxum 7, and Konica Minolta 7D cameras, when using a Konica Minolta "D" Le...

Re: Minolta Maxxum 7000AF Battery Holders/Grips

Thank you for your welcome, "David". I have seen the BH-70T Battery/Grip for the 7000AF listed for sale on ebay, from time to time. The one I used the most was the 'AA' Grip, and kept an 'AAA' Grip pre-loaded as a backup. I should have included that they also fit on the Maxxum 5000AF, and ...

Minolta Maxxum 7000AF Battery Holders/Grips

If you have a Minolta Maxxum 7000AF- There were Four (4) different battery packs available for the Maxxum 7000AF to choose from. It is a very power-source versatile 35mm AF SLR. They accept Alkaline or Carbon-Zinc Batteries, Except for the BH-70T. They are as follows: 1. BH-70S Holds 4-AAA batteries...
