Perth at dawn (or thereabouts) this morning. Cold for Perth at about 8 degrees but I guess it could be worse.

Re: Anything but touristy from your travel

Thanks Valery, Suri and Birma. Suri, here's one for you from last year's trip to Lucca. It was taken in the square in the centre of the walled city next to the cathedral untitled-450_HDR.jpg ..and while I'm at it, two more from last year's trip. These ones are both from Monterosso Al Mare in Cinque ...

Re: Anything but touristy from your travel

Good Morning Everyone, it's been a hell of a long time (a couple of years I'd guess) since I posted anything here but that doesn't mean I haven't been visiting and it also doesn't mean I haven't been shooting - still with an Alpha and the A900 is still in my bag but it's second body to an A99 now wh...

Re: Advanced Notice of Alpha Spotting Opportunities in the U

Hi Bossel. Unfortunately the French part of the trip is fairly limited. Paris only and only for a couple of days followed by a car trip to catch the ferry to the UK (complete with a stop at the Hypermart in Calais for the purpose of provisioning the rest of the trip I think) so, beyond the obligator...

Advanced Notice of Alpha Spotting Opportunities in the UK

Hi there everyone, Between the 21st and around the 25th of next month I'm going to France with my wife and from there to the UK where we will be until the 7th of May. We're staying in Hemel Hempstead or thereabouts, she because she wants to see her cricketing mates in the UK and me because I want to...

Morning All, Here's a Grey Heron that I scared off (unintentionally) at the same lake that the Ibises came from down the road from work

Re: Birds 2011

My SAL70200G arrived from the States today so I took it out a lunchtime and was lucky enough to get a pelican with complete butt and beak specially for Lonnie (and an Ibis or two for Greg by the looks)

Re: LR3 tethered solution

Hi everyone, Just wanted to let everyone who is interested know that I've been talking to these guys over the last few days after downloading the demo version. I wanted to buy it but, because they are Russian, they are prohibited from PayPal and other payment options were limited. After a couple of ...

Re: Ashes Cricket in Perth

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes. And a happy New Year to you all, despite the fact that it may be a few hours premature for everyone with the exception of Greg. I'm guessing that celebrations are still going on somewhere in Melbourne and in a variety of other parts of the workd at the moment. ...

Ashes Cricket in Perth

Apologies for the (slightly) misleading subject, I'm not even remotely interested in cricket but my wife is a fanatic and we have just said goodbye to one of her friends from England who came over for the game. In deference to his feelings, I've waited until he left the country to post this - he lik...
