Sony A800 - won't process photos
Hi All, I'm hoping for some advice. My A800 has stopped working properly. The settings work, you can turn it on set it up press the shutter and it sounds like it will take a shot, but then it doesn't process it. The red light just stays on as if it is doing something - but it does nothing. It won't ...

I like the one from your balcony but the top and bottom one look a bit too contrasty or over sharpend for me.

Opposite of HDR
Now I like the modern HGR stuff - if it is well done but there is a bit much of it about at the moment. So how about a thread for the good old fashioned subtle photo. Here are mine for starters. Anyone want to share?

Re: 200mm lens
ACIPhotos: Recently someone on this forum was selling a beercan. I don't know if it is still available though. Also, you can probably find one on ebay, keh.com, or elsewhere. What country are you in?[/quote] Good old Blighty. I bought a beercan on Ebay but had to send it back as it was full of bits ...

200mm lens
Hi Everyone. I'm looking for a decent zoom lens to 200mm for my A850. Don't want to spend a lot of money but it needs to be as really good one. Any ideas?? (Bear in mind my standard lens is a Zeiss 24mm - 70mm and my really long lens a Sigma 150 - 500mm so this is the quality I'm looking for.)

Re: The Polariser and the wide angle lens
I'm in no hurry to spend a lot of money - sometimes I think it's all a big con. I think I'll buy a CPL and Heath Robinson away. I've missed having one since I bought the Sony 24 -70 lens and there is no substitute really. When I was using my Cokin P set I bought one for that as it was the same price...

Re: The Polariser and the wide angle lens
I think I'll put the ND Grad first and then the Polarized -but I never use both combined... The time I would is when photographing water. Sometimes I have daylight at the top of the shot which needs a grad. Oh and I've recently done some mountain shots which would have benefited from a polariser to...

The Polariser and the wide angle lens
Hi All - this may sound like a stupid question but when taking wide angle landscape shots where an ND Grad is used (I use Cokin Z filters now) Can I put the polariser on first and then the grad or will this cause problems with the edge of the photo. Is it better to buy a Cokin Z polariser (and chok...
