Re: Manual Focusing with focus-knob on "Continuous".

Further to my previous comment. The focusing should cause the temporary exit. Either by defect Distance-chip or by overtasking of the focusing circuitry. This afternoon I started trials and came to a prelim9inary conclusion: After the blow-out on infinity (towards the clouds) I tried to recover. But...

I don’t own an SSM lens myself so I don’t have any firsthand experience with one, but looking at the user guide it says that DMF is not available with AF-C so I would assume turning the focus collar while that mode is engaged wou...

Re: Manual Focusing with focus-knob on "Continuous".
I'm not an expert, but its possible the sensor just got over saturated/over loaded, [burn out] and the whole system could not cope , gave up, and went into neutral. Pete, Thank you for your view. It really could be an over-reading in the exposure metering circuit, w...

Manual Focusing with focus-knob on "Continuous".

Last Friday I went to the 100 Year Memorial Air Show with the Royal Netherlands Air Force. I took my Alpha A700 with Sony 4,5-5,6/70-300 G SSM lens with me and put the exposure program on A(perture) and Spot with EV+1. Focusing on Continuous and wide. But then I forget which piece of the lens is the...

David, thanks for a99 review

I read it gladly. Interesting results. Specially for the comparisons made. I can remain not yet stepping up to A99 and remainig with my elderly camera. Yet reading the comparison between the A77 and the A99, I wondered at which bitdepth the A700 and A900 work. Who could tell me ? The effects are the...

Re: How to get the Dutch language interface on the A900 ?

David,
Thank you very much for your clarification. I noticed, while upgrading the firmware, that there was no problem at all. Only the languages did not come up. It is a pity, but I will do with the English language... Being happy with an A900.

How to get the Dutch language interface on the A900 ?

My former A900 had Dutch language on the "Menu". My new one had not. It has English (with which I am by the way already happy enough), Chinese, Japanese and South-Korean. But the European languages are missing, like Italian and German and for me most important Dutch. I wonder whether there...

Re: whats the best way to clean the sensor of dust?

Well, I'm trying to find a better way. So far I have only dared following the SONY advice of using only a blower. The one I use has a 1mm opening and no brush. Using this blower, it removes the dust from the center of the sensor quite well, but the dust particles on the borders and in the corners se...

Re: SONY at Haddon Hall, Peak District, England

This kind man also had shoes on. He also carried the more elaborated guide on the house in his left hand. Believe it or not, he was accompanied by his wife as well. But I only met him a couple of minutes first and a few seconds in the afternoon on our ways back. I imagine all of you would have been ...

Where do I find my ICC-profile ?

The latest great Photoclubalpha magazine required the above specification, when pictures are to be accepted in the contest. I am not (yet) familiair with this profile. In fact I do not even know where to start. Who can help ? A complete explanation would be welcome.
Thanks for everything posted...!
