Re: Historic Car Races 2014 Crash

Most of the time, if a driver can walk to an ambulance on his own, he isn't seriously injured.

As I commented earlier I like the second shot. Just a shame the fence was in the way. Besides that, it's a great action shot.

Re: Exhibit your B&W shots

Thanks Toni! Mark. Great moon shot.. I love photographing the moon, and I keep browsing the used lens sites, and eBay for a gently used 400 APO... For no other purpose than the moon, and the sun. John Thanks gents! I'm quite fond of astronomy photography myself. I really like some of the wonderous ...

Re: Exhibit your B&W shots

Oee of the most used object in photography probably, but the details on the moon never grow old.

Re: Lenses!

I have the 70-300G and 70-400G. Both are similar in optical performance, although I feel the 70-400G is sharper from wide open to around f/8 and has better CA control. Both are very sharp from f/8 to f/11, but I feel I need to boost contrast a bit on both. The 70-300G is a bit expensive for what it ...

Re: Exhibit your B&W shots

Thanks guys. The shot was made in Portugal, but on the mainland in 2010. I'm revisiting some old images. Much of these have never been properly processed. As I have some more free time for a couple of weeks, I'm looking at them now. Nice shot John! The light brings out the statue really well, as doe...

Re: Let's post some panoramas

Sury,

Maybe you didn't pick the right example of in-camera stitching on the Nex5. You see a stitching error on the far right, where the shots don't allign ;-)

John, didn't comment on the IR pano, but like it more than the first! I like the composition between the mountains and road. Nice!

Re: Let's post some panoramas

Mark- you do travel to some panorama ready places, all are well composed. I haven't done a manual or even semi-manual stitch in a while. I shot several panoramas at Big Bend National Park, but I used the in-camera sweep function every time. On closer inspection when we got home, I wish that I had t...

Re: Let's post some panoramas

Actually, the blues are a mixture of using a CPL and darkening that color in LR. Only +5 saturation.

Re: Tiny sensor revenge gallery thread!

It took me a few years to build up a bit of endurance for hot climates. In the past, I always felt sick when it became hotter than, say, 25 C. If any hotter, I fainted on occasion. Nowadays I don't have that ptoblem anymore and have become rather fond of hotter climates, as long as it isn't too humi...
