Well it was announced yesterday that all stores to close with immediate effect.

Not really unexpected but sad none the less especially after Jacobs last year.

Scanning slide film.

Just thought I`d share my own experience on this issue.

I`ve seen it on this forum that Kodachrome 64 is difficult to scan successfully.

Well my experience is very different.those Kodachrome slides that I`ve scanned have turned out very well indeed.

I use a Scan Dual II picked up on ebay for £100

Scan Dual II question.

The manual for Scan Dual II says that scans can be saved as .bmp,.jpg or .tif (preferred by me) but in setting up .tif doesn`t appear to be a choice to save in. :?
or have I missed something?

BTW,is Windows .bmp a lossless format?

Anyone able to clarify for me?

Wanted KM Scan Dual film scanner

I`ve been considering it for some time but I now would like to digitise many many slides, mainly Kodachrome(RIP) and negatives.

If anyone knows of a Scan Dual II,III or IV please let me know.

Older ones with SCSI interface not suitable.

Thanks :D

New flash,low price

I`ve been lucky enough to buy a HVL-F36AM from a member on another forum for a very low price. They usually sell for more than 100GB Pounds with UK dealers. I consider it a bargain for a flash that`s had little use. I`d been looking for one for some time at a price affordable to me,for its WL and HSS...

Re: 7dayshop Multi Card Safe Case (Memory Card Case)

I`ve just ordered one along with a couple of new CF and SDHC cards.

7dayshop`s prices are consistantly the best.Very reliable.

I use them for ink and paper too(Canon)
