A99 focussing problems

Has anyone had any focussing issues with the a99? On my very new camera I prefer to use spot focussing. I did a couple of photoshoots over the weekend and noticed that all of my images - the centre focus is out, anything that sits a few mm to the front or back are in focus but my target is out? I've...

Re: From A900 to A99 - Manual Mode - confused!

Dr Harout, Many thanks - that's done the trick. I mostly use manual or aperture Priority for most of my shoots and its working for both - phew. I see Sony are bringing out a Mk II - heck I just got the Mk I, (after a very long wait) I did wonder if the A99 would be upgraded to a Mk II after seeing t...

From A900 to A99 - Manual Mode - confused!

Hi, I've just moved from the A900 to the A99, (ordered in May, arrived last week - Park Camera's). Trying to work my way around this new electronic mastermind from Sony so I can take control of creating the image. I've noticed that when in manual mode the display and EVF are subject to the value of ...

Minolta Dynax 5 eye piece focus?

Hi, Have dug out my old Dynax 5 to have a play and am prety impressed with the images it produces using my Sony F/F lenses although they look massive on the Dynax. I can't work out how to adjust the viewfinder focus, there is no lever or adjustable wheel so it must be electronic me thinks? I've been...

Re: Software for Creating Photo Collages or Layouts?

This is a late post, just having a look around and came upon this. You're more then likely sorted but for reference, have you tried Microsofts Auto College: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/cambridge/projects/autocollage/ I use it and it works a treat and has face recognition. I've used it on ...

Re: Mushroom experts anywhere?

Could have been the "False Death Cap", I think with Fly Agaric you would perhaps be sick, see a few nice faries, but with the real Death Cap it would be lights out unless you got to a hospital pretty quick, although it looks different to the picture above. For my money, I'd rather take pic...

This is an interesting site: http://alphatracks.com/archives/category/a900

Seems to cover most of the issues around Sony cameras.

Re: A900 and standard portable flash

ok thanks for the links and will do. As for In other hand, Sony stated that the A900 was not a professional camera. Well, the Canon 450 is also not a proff camera but everything fits and here am I fiddeling round with adaptors while my friend is ready and as quick as a flash...so to speak  Ch...

Re: A900 and standard portable flash

Thanks Pako, just been looking around at the options available. I get the impression that Sony don't cater too well for its customers in this area, either stand mount adaptors are too flimsy, not deep enough, copies and as much use as a chocolate fireguard, adaptors have to be bought to work trigger...

Re: A900 and standard portable flash

hi, thanks for the replies. I have 1 F42 and a Minolta 3500xi - but I've found out just recently that the 3500 won't work with the Sony flash system so that was a red herring. Just purchased from ebay another F42 and I think that will solve most of my problems although I would like to be able to con...
