Re: Photos with evidence of the photographer
Cool motorbike riders in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam :) DSC03840.jpg Today while walking in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I took this photo. After getting it on my computer I noticed that I am reflected in the sunglasses. :-) I didn't notice at the time I took the photo, but I should have. P1030377.jpg

Re: B&W 120 photo using toy camera in 1968
I saw this advertisement here in Bangkok a couple of days ago and noticed that the woman is holding a Diana camera. Her's has a flash attached, but the one I had in the 1960s had no provision for a flash. Note how she is holding her index finger on top as if there is a shutter button up there like i...

I have not updated yet, but am looking forward to trying 12.3. Unfortunately, it creates a huge DNG file so is not non-destructive.

One more thing that is changing is that Amazon announced that dpreview.com is shutting down on April 10, 2023. When it was announced last month it said all the content and forums would go offline. A few days ago there was an update that is not detailed or very clear, but it sounds like at least for ...

Re: Photos inside a Tokyo camera store
A few days ago I was in a big Yodobashi and walked by this Hasselblad X1D II 50C + 45mm f3.5 lens out for play. No one around to bother me. As usual. Even very expensive gear is just sitting out to play with and no one hovering over your shoulder.

:D Hi again, Henry. Yes, as it happens, we are in Istanbul, which is pretty distant from the region. The fault line the earthquake happened on is a historically known one that is active to create a forceful quake almost every 100 years. It's in the books. The 'Anatolian plate' which is Turkey, was ...

I start off with letting them automatically choose the settings and then usually adjust from there. Photo AI which basica...
