Re: Sales
I read that the drop was on CSCs. I can't remember where I saw it though.
Re: New toy!

A 1944 "Time Capsule"
I came across this little article, and felt I had to share. It's incredible that these images have survived, and that they are possibly amongst the last things this soldier saw. http://themetapicture.com/this-camera-of-a-soldier-that-died-in-a-1944-battle-was-just-found-wait-til-you-see-what-was-on-...

Re: What to do next?
I'm going to be very careful what I say about my a580. Last time I said I was keeping it until it died, it did! I'd bought a new SD card, and it caused the camera to lock up, wouldn't even switch off! It was a PNY 16Gb, for anyone who wants to avoid buying one. It's fine now, with an old Fuji 8Gb S...

Re: Are shooters today really photographers or just collecto
Is photoshop, in essence, any different from the old dodging and burning in the darkroom? Isn't a zoom lens valid when you CAN'T move to the best position? I use a Pentax ME Super, with two Pentax, and one Tokina lenses, all prime. Both brands focus in opposite directions, and sometimes, I forget wh...

Re: SAR SR5 Rumour about Sony A7s with 4K on Sunday in Las V
I have just had a "light bulb" moment about the massive ISO of the A7s. It is made for shooting in total darkness so you don't have to worry about "light leaks"...

Re: What to do next?
Something Sony have forgotten was they were the ones to introduce "affordable" FF, while Nikon & Canon were still asking big bucks for their top line cameras. The a900 & a850 are both great cameras, but they killed any chance of making inroads by the delay in introducing a successo...

Re: What to do next?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If sony would drop the obsessions with smallest/lightest/fastest, stopped trying to be one step ahead of where the opposition aren't going, and just concentrated on good, reliable cameras in a coherent system, they'd ... <snip> ... be Canon or Nikon ...
