Re: Dusting off lens - part 2

Yildiz, Thank you and you are right with your astute observation. Only defense I have, albeit a lame one, is that I am fighting the tendency to shoot narrow and in the process I am getting wide in the Z-direction as well. Sury This one, I wanted to show that flowers are in the home, in a...

Re: Dusting off lens - part 2

JT, Thank you. Though I had hands on with 17-35, this one took a bit of time to get used to, given I haven't used the lens in almost two years. Dusting off lens - part 2

JT suggested that I should never let a lens collect dust in the context of CZ135f1.8 which is his favorite and he is the master of that lens. I have dusted off my CZ135f1.8 (posted in a separate thread) and now I have dusted off CZ24F2 which was strongly recommended by a venerable contributor we aff...

Re: Bloomy over Gloomy-Isolation Days' Flowers

Though they were blooming and I was capturing, I was lagging in processing them. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50087902163_9eb0ee0dfe_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50087900748_6978b502e0_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50087888293_a9b352e163_b.jpg

Beautiful set Yildiz. The lavender Hydrangea is a floral eye candy.

Re: Bloomy over Gloomy-Isolation Days' Flowers

JT, I noticed a marked difference in sharpness (due to screen size, I am sure) when I see the images on my Samsung S6 versus my 24" ASUS HD monitor. The cell phone images seem to have more "punch". Do you find the same thing too? BTW, neither takes away from the beauty of the flowers ...

Re: Bloomy over Gloomy-Isolation Days' Flowers

Nice shot. BTW, you seem to have quite a few sub marine "creatures" in the strait. Is that routine?

Re: Mt. Umunhum, San Jose, California

Yildiz, I have been using the lens at 35 end quite a bit since I was capturing the distant landscape. I do have some that were taken at max wide as well. A bit of trivia, though the Mojave area of California is desert, the Silicon Valley moniker is a reference to the many IC (Semiconductor Chip) mak...

Mt. Umunhum, San Jose, California

My son and daughter bought me a harness for my camera as a father's day gift. I went on a hike on Father's day to test it out. It was one of the best accessories I ever own now. I was on my feet for 4 hours, shot about 1400+ images with my A99M2 and did not feel any fatigue at all. Most of the shots...
