India Remembered

Not done much with the camera this year and so have been working through my image library to find images worth editing. The images below were taken several years ago during a very memorable trip to India that included a visit to the Pushkar Camel Fair. DSC00853.jpg DSC07411_Is that enough for a Sing...

To upgrade or not? That is the question

Has any member here upgraded from a Sony 70-300mm G MkI to the MkII? I am thinking of changing but am wondering whether there will be a noticeable improvement in performance to justify the change.

The lens will be used with the A77MkI.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Re: Flowers 2017

Hi Yildiz Thank you it was very good of you but no apology necessary. I was not in the least bit offended. Compared to some of the names I have been called over the years (before I retired) Marcell is actually very nice. Thank you also for your kind comments on the images and everyone else who has c...

Re: still avoiding Adobe CC rental

A friend of mine had a similar dilemma having purchased a Sony RX10 MkIII. She decided to go down the route of converting her RAW files to DNG format ( a free download from Adobe) and continue to use LR5

Re: Flowers 2017

Our club recently held its annual Panel of six competition. One of my themes involved images of flowers. Here is the panel and I am pleased to say that on the night it won the competition. It now goes on to represent the club in an inter-club competition in the autumn. Panel Layout https://www.flick...

Problems up loading Images

All of a sudden the site will not allow me to upload images by means of the "Attachments" tab. File sized correctly and in the correct format. The progress bar shows the image being up loaded. It gets to approximately 75% and then stops with a yellow triangle appearing where the success ti...

Thank you for your feedback. The third image is a composite too. It was just fortunate that the woman in the third image was carrying a crash helmet.

Harley Davidson on tour

Motorbikes have never been my thing but they can make interesting subjects. The Harley Davidson to my mind is a very iconic machine and seems to have many variants. When I get the chance I usually take a photograph of them but invariably I do not like the setting they are in and so I tend to indulge...

Re: Namibia

Sury, DA and Birma Thank you for your comments. A friend of mine mentioned that safari through the dunes of Namibia is far more rewarding than the regular safaris. Any thoughts?
