Re: Challenge #58:"Fairy Wings of Insects"-submissions until 20 September 2015

Just happened that this past week a few "bugs" around my house and garden caught my attention. Had to try and get some images. Here are the results. Pyrausta aurata (Mint Moth).jpg A77 + Sigma 105mm macro MOTH_01.jpg Found on the ceiling early hours of one morning when I had been working o...

Counting my blessings

Counting my blessings today. A partition on one of my main working disks (with two partitions) started to play up. It started to show up when LR5 was taking an age to increase a thumbnail to a larger size or refused to transfer a file into CS5. My first thought was that there had been a glitch withi...

Re: Beamish Revisited

In that case you did an excellent job. I was completely fooled into thinking that you took photos of photos. The treatment certainly conveys the nostalgia of the bygone era. Sury Thank you they are really authentic i like the one of the Tommy at the bus stop the best. Great pictures and processing. ...

Thank you. No, I have tried to give the illusion of old photographs. I like to think the treatment recreates the atmosphere of a bygone age. The frames/mounts were produced in photoshop.

Re: Not everyone's cup of tea

Enjoyed them all. Sury Sury Thank you. Glad you enjoyed them. Why did you settle on this particular form of processing? What does it add that was absent previously? They are interesting images but I tend to think that you were looking for something more than just interesting. Thanks for your consid...

Not everyone's cup of tea

Recent posts prompted me to upload a few images I have been working on. My apologies that these are yet more images from my trip to Cuba. For some reason the images I took on that trip more than any other seem to cry out to me for some form of manipulation. The "straight" photos somehow ju...

Hi Mike and Yildiz, Thanks for raising the question and for the answer. I have had similar problems in the past. Now I know the answer.

Re: Senior Pictures. Oh the pressure.

I agree with Yildiz and Sury. IMHO if it were my image I would get rid of the highlights in the top left corner. My eye gets drawn there and I find them distracting.
