Love the market plaza and the scenic funfair overlooking the sea, Sury.
It's wintery here now and looking at your sun-filled summer shots feels good. :D

Re: Mt. Etna, Taormina and Aggregento, Sicily

. Very beautiful corner of the Earth! :) Love the water colour and the curving beach. The transparency of the water is making this cove especially attractive. Reaching here from other locations must be an exciting and nostalgic little trip on Gondolas. :D Great scenery all around. Thanks for sharing...

That is just enigmatically enticing!
Great that we see the actual fumes, Sury. :) A living Volcano! Like smoke-signalling an unknown from the depths of the Earth.

Re: Mt. Etna, Taormina and Aggregento, Sicily

. I love how enigmatic the terrain looks. I'm pretty sure that some movies of extra-terrestrial genre must have been shot here. :D We live on a wonderful and generously informative planet. That very mundane-looking small bus, meandering on a curvy track looks very out of place in my opinion; I would...

A little, lingering excitement in the moment is good for the spirit. :)
The first and second photos are great and the third provides a perspective on human scale against the lava-laden dark landscape.

The feel of the climb must have been grand as the volcano and the lava soil came closer in view and touch. Definitely a great yet unpredictable lookin volcano there.

The latest series of interior and external shots are really beautiful, Sury. :D That era is just amazing for its sculptures and architecture and we can see them in their full glory, colours, the fine details s of the marble elements are beautiful. A true assessment on the prevalence of empires of the ancient times, Sury, they rose on the shoulders of those whose freedoms were removed and existences exploited, due to strange social norms and laws.

Your Mediterranean Cruise was pleasant to observe. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Sorrento, Pompeii, Italy

. You're right, Sury. I remember reading how archeologists were both very surprised and faced personal moral and occupational challenges when they had to document and publish their findings which they dug from under 25 mt. deep ash layer. Brutal times for slaves of Roman ages but not very different ...

. Hi, Ossie; :) Good to see your lovely photos in the forum yet again. River Rhine certainly provides some spectacular land pieces and pitched-roofed, old, Central European structures. It's good to see Cologne Cathedral again, like seeing a good old friend. :) I first saw and walked through its fron...

Re: Sorrento, Pompeii, Italy

. Hi, Sury; :) Those chariot wheels' sure left enduring track marks! Romans were such good builders in an innovative way and they left lasting roads, standing health spa baths and so many structures were excellently built by the engineers of that era. :) I always admired how smart they were in appro...
