Re: ACR multi image processing?
Yes, it's called Lightroom, from Adobe, and it works really well for the kind of workflow you want. That's what I was afraid of. As a pure amateur, I now don't want to fork out another 300 Euro /450 USD for lightroom and then again 130 Euro/190 USD for each upgrade  .Probably just to disco...

ACR multi image processing?
With my first steps shooting raw I have now 220 pics to process (shot cRaw + JPG). And it's necessary, since on many on the JPGs the auto-whitebalance is pretty off. (my KM5D was better in that respect, I think). I tried IDC: hmm, doesn't really impress me and the 23 floating palettes don't r...

Re: Sony working with Canon...
Adobe, Apple, Canon, Microsoft, Nokia and Sony That's a tough one. In my opinion not related to photography alone (What about Nikon, Oly, Pentax?). Hasn't there been a new technology for near distance (like 10cm) datatransfer? Like you pose your camera/cell phone next to your windows/macos system a...

Re: Wedding as a guest
A short feedback to those who followed this discussion: I decided to go light, just took the 18-250, no camera bag, but the 28-75 and 50/1.7 in a small shoulder bag. I used the 18-250 in the sunny afternoon. Put on the 28-75 when we went into church. But we were asked to switch of cameras during the...

Re: Self portraits
You should mirror your portraits and you might like them a bit more. There was a discussion going on (on dpr I think) discussing the psychological impact of mirrored photos, I found that very interesting.Jonathan K wrote: (not that I like to see myself too often)

Re: Will UK A700 cashback be extended again?
If you have time to wait, prices will always come down. Maybe not now, but if ever an ehanced A700 would see the light of the day, the A700 will be dumped cheaply. This might not happen this year. If however you need a camera now, go for the A700 - or you might wait til end of photokina (end of sept...

Kevin, thats more or less what I considered. I also have the Sigma 10-20, 70-300 and the kit-lense, a 35-70 and two Tamron teleconcerters.KevinBarrett wrote:Is that just about everything that's in your kit?

Re: Advantage of in-camera Anti-Shake!
Why is this posted as off-topic? btw, I had also pointed out earlier on that other site, that a non stabilized viewfinder might push you to keep the kamera more steady - thoug at long focal length (>300mm or so) a stabilized vf might help in framing better!
