Re: Suggestion: click on link opens new window/tab

As opening links in new tabs is so easy - I use ctrl-mouse-left all the time - I'd just like to add that I do prefer the website letting me choose the option myself. When I want to leave a site by just a normal click, I want to leave it, and when I want to stay there I open any link to follow in an...

Re: Portrait Professional now in Mac version

I bought the Windows version of PP 6.5 about a month ago. It is interesting and pretty easy to use. I have found a fair number of bugs though and have reported some of them. I was expecting to get free updates to minur revisions (6.6, 6.7, etc.) with bug fixes, so I was very disappointed when they w...

With the price of gasoline and the traffic it probably wouldn't be too cost effective to do that anymore! :)

Re: How much do you use your ultra wide angle?

Nice interior shot! By the way, why would the Nikon 14-24mm shots be off topic? The OP was about the use of ultra wides and that lens on the Nikon D3 certainly would be ultra wide -- wider than anything I have ever used. Go ahead! :)

Re: How much do you use your ultra wide angle?

I wasn't referring to the use of the Sigma and Tokina lenses, but the shots from the Canon 30D. I forgot to post anything from the A700. Glad it is okay to make the occasional mention of some other brand or post a shot from one though. The other shots were made with the Tokina 20-35mm on film, but w...

Re: How much do you use your ultra wide angle?

Oops, I forgot to post a couple from the Sony 11-18mm on the A700. This is a Sony/KM oriented site after all. :) 11mm on Sony A700: http://www.bakubo.com/galleries/Hawaii/Hawaii%203/slides/DSC01940.jpg http://www.bakubo.com/galleries/Hawaii/Hawaii%203/slides/DSC02037.jpg

Re: How much do you use your ultra wide angle?

Henry, do you SHOW those girls the wide-angle pix on the camera? Do they know how dramatic/odd the results are, compared to regular shots? Yes, both Charlotte and Rose have seen the photos. In the case of Charlotte, I gave her eight 8x10 inch prints of several shots (color and B&W). I took some...

Re: How much do you use your ultra wide angle?

I have the Sigma 10-20mm in Canon mount and the Sony 11-18mm. In my film days I had a Tokina 20-35mm in Minolta AF mount. I usually take a super wide with me when I travel, but it doesn't get a lot of use. It is useful for some shots though and provides an interesting and fun perspective. Sometimes ...

Re: Signed up awhile ago, but didn't introduce myself

This Kenko was not like the Nikon FM10 that is also sold in Japan. The FM10 looks a bit like the old SLRs but the shell is made of light plastic. This Kenko, or at least the several I had a chance to hold and play with at various stores last fall, was heavy metal. Just like my old Mamiya/Sekor 1000 ...

Re: Signed up awhile ago, but didn't introduce myself

By the way, I spent 3 months going to school in Tokyo last fall and while there I was amused to see a couple of new film SLRs that are reminiscent of the 1970s with the Kenko brand. They are manual focus, manual exposure metal cameras with the Nikon F mount. Here is one: http://www.yodobashi.com/enj...

Wow you really have a great eye. I'm really enjoying seeing the world through your pictures. very nice Javelin, thank you for the kind words. Since I was a child I have admired National Geographic style documentary photography from all over the world. That and the two years I lived in Morocco with ...

Re: Suggestion: click on link opens new window/tab

SeaMonkey browser (based on old Mozilla Suite and Gecko engine) allows user to open any link in new tab with middle mouse click, ctrl + left mouse click or ctrl + enter. By default these shortcuts open new window. Just go to Edit -> Preferences -> Navigator -> Tabbed browsing. I remember seeing sim...

Suggestion: click on link opens new window/tab

I have a suggestion for you. I don't know if the phpbb3 software allows this, but if it does then it may be something for you to consider. Can you make it so that when a link is in a post, such as this one, that when the link is clicked it opens a new browser window/tab rather than leaving your foru...
