Re: Challenge 7: “Right Around That Corner!”

I just took a different angle on it, is that all right? *Hi Kevin , I was joking and I thought you saw that I was merely joking when I read your previous message where you explained about your entry photo. :) Your photo 'does' indeed have a corner, which is a round reflective surface and one of the...

You seem to have "cornered" the market on the usage of the word "corner".
I promise I won't patent it to my name, I'm not selfish. Please use the word like it was your very own. :D

(of course I'm joking, you know that don't you? :D )

Re: Challenge 7: “Right Around That Corner!”

What do you mean, "challenging personalities?" And my picture has a real corner, too! It's right there, and it's being a-rounded by that reflection! Hmm...You are a participating in a challenge, where you challenge the concept of of the good, old corner? Then you're a personality th...

Re: Challenge 7: “Right Around That Corner!”

Breaking news! Last moment developing news item: The 'corner' of the corner challenge is being challenged by our more liberal wing challengers! We are challenged to reinvent our traditional 'vertical' corner and repose it on the horizontal axis. Now, the question is "shall we give in and be cor...

Re: Blossomville

Thank you for the map,Winston. So, we're looking at mountainous places of Idaho when we look at this photo. You definitely are doing some travelling for good causes! :D Hi Dusty, Unfortunately, greed is the hardest disease in human heart to cure. Those trees you mention are very important to keep an...

Re: Blossomville

Hi Jbtaylor, Indeed, the 'after' photo exhibits more of the fine details and a more natural look. In addition to exposure and cooling down the temperature for white balance, I also play with the DRO settings provided by the post-production software be it the IDC of Sony or others and more enhancemen...

Re: Photography for a friend's website

Hi Kevin, If you hadn't mentioned his occupation of interest I would of said that he looks like an intimidating bodyguard with his tattoo covered torso and that slanted expression in his eyes. Even in a nice shirt and suit he looks very over-bearing. Maybe this is a good look to relate to the at-ris...

Congratulations!

Now we have two perfectly-fitting entries already. :) Very good ones, WestCoast and Sury.

Love to see other situations, on water, on land and on air also, don't hesitate to go creative. :)

Re: Blossomville

Incredible photo and impressive quality! It's like looking at the swelling of ocean at a stormy moment but it's an ocean of yellow asters instead. Where is this? Because these yellow buddies are also on the hills far ahead. Interesting...a place where only one type of wild flower grows but I can't f...

Re: Blossomville

Beautiful blossoms indeed! It's hard to see the sweet apricots go like this... but you'll still have the cherries. :) Planting trees is good thinking and we'd all be in a better place if we all planted nice trees instead of chocking them to death or cutting them down...like some people I've seen do ...

Challenge 7: “Right Around That Corner!” - Winner Chosen

Or “ waiting round the bend...” Hello everyone, :D Let's go for an other challenge! Listening to a classic song of Frank Sinatra, one verse from the lyrics of ‘Moonriver’ lingers; .. “Waiting round the bend...my Huckleberry friend...” For this challenge we’ll be shooting corners and bends in our tow...

Re: Roman Wall

Good ones Paul, :) Yesterday, I was looking at the photos of these remnants of the Roman buildings built along the Roman Wall on the Internet and they were all smaller in size and less perfect. You were fortunate to have the dramatic clouds that day which add an extra dimension sky-wise. Good to see...
