Re: PMA 2009
I don't have LV in my A700 and it is not something that I am waiting with bated breath for, but if it was available in an A700 update along with other improvements then I would like to have it. It would have to have the tilt LCD like in the A350/A300 though. I wouldn't use it often, but it would be ...

Re: have you seen blurb?
How is the quality of the photo printing? Is it high quality with good, thick paper like in a really good photo book?

Re: PMA 2009
Another thing just occurred to me, what about here, where the sunlight in summer varies between EV *BRIGHT* and *REALLY BRIGHT*, what is one going to see on the rear screen when outside...will the screen still work? will you be able to see what's on it good enough too compose the shot/video etc.......

Re: PMA 2009
This is also the big, big problem with the Canon/Nikon HD video filming. You just want, almost in desperation, to be able to hold that camera to your eye. Companies are now making rifle stocks with magnifying eyepiece sights to view the rear screen and turn it into a viewfinder. Waving a full size ...

Re: need a low cost wide lens for a350
I'm sure someone will reply with an opinion about the lenses you mentioned. You didn't say how low a price you are looking for. The Sigma 18-50mm f3.5-5.6 is probably about the lowest price $119.95 for a lens in that general range: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/335746-REG/Sigma_521205_18_50m...

Re: PMA 2009
There was this:
"I received an email tip from someone who provided accurate info on the A900 that the entire Sony Alpha DSLR lineup will be replaced in 2009."
Hard to believe that the A900 would be replaced so soon.

Re: Sensor cleaning warnings
I occasionally needed to clean the sensor on my KM 7D and Canon 30D, but so far I haven't cleaned the A700 or A100. From time to time I notice a spot or two in the sky but usually it is gone the next time I use the camera -- I guess the sensor shake works fairly well. I don't recall ever cleaning th...

Re: D3X noise
On one of our road trips my wife and I drove through Death Valley National Park several years ago. My recollection is that it was in early or mid October. but it was still very hot and dry. Before going in we stopped and got a couple gallons of water in case of car trouble or something. We stopped a...

In 1994 I was in Amsterdam and then in 2005 I was back. This Dutch woman seemed to be offering me a twofer. By the way, this photo was made with the KM 7D.

Merry Christmas to you too! And here is my favorite White Christmas:

No White Christmas for me though. I just got back from swimming at the beach and while swimming I saw a big Hawaiian Sea Turtle.
