I don't, just wanted to be sure that the only thing it affects when using RAW is exposure
Thanks

Re: Zone matching for less noise
Yes, I only shoot RAW too, but even when shooting RAW and enabling ZM the exposure will change (just like when using DRO). Sorry I didn't specify but my question really was... is there any difference using low-key zone matching with RAW other than the increased exposure? I mean, is it any different ...

Zone matching for less noise
Since I've read so many comments suggesting the A700 exposes to the left, especially on high ISO, and that contributes to more noise in the images I was wondering if anyone used low-key zone matching instead of increasing exposure compensation... I want to try it but I don't have time right now (too...

New DxO Optics Pro 5.3.4
DxO Optics 5.3.4 is out. I just downloaded the trial and so far it seems that the green cast that appeared on the shadows of some A700 photos is gone :) Great program, I like it better than ACR/Lightroom and even Capture One. The colors, auto lens distorsion correction and noise reduction are just a...

Re: A380 330 230 details on Sony sites
I agree. They have simplified the design too much, removing useful functions and prioritizing looks over comfort, but I believe this is only with the cheaper models... my guess Sony is trying to get users from the P&S market to move on to the next level without feeling overwhelmed. And I also th...

Re: Simple question for A700 owners
Thanks guys, it's a pitty this can't be fixed with a firmware update but I guess I'll get use to it eventually... Anyway, so far this is the only negative thing I found, so I'm very happy with the camera :) Well to be honest the LCD screen feels a bit flimsy, maybe I should get a hard cover... norma...

Re: Simple question for A700 owners
Thanks, Kevin. It's good to know it's just part of the "personality" of the camera and not something broken on mine
And this sure looks like a nice forum, will keep reading it now that I'm part of the club

Simple question for A700 owners
Hi, I've just got my A700 but there's something strange... I don't know if it's a problem with my camera or just a design glitch. When I press the body with my thumb exactly below the rubber pad, just over and to the right of the steadyshot switch and right next to the memory card door, it bends a l...
