Re: A200 power lead
Wow! $150 for a dual battery charger/ power out lead, and no separate power lead only listed. This is one of the reasons that aftermarket companies flourish. The flash power pack is $250! And it's simply an external battery pack that takes 6 "AA" batteries, not a sealed lead-acid gel cell!...

Zeb, tell your wife it's wonderful to be "insane" from time to time. Example: if a patient pays a visit with a camera on, I will deal with him much better... Just tell this to your wife. That's funny! When I went in to the OR for my wife's C-section w/ my A350, the nurse said ...

Re: 20 MP Cell Phones by 2012 = 40 MP APS-C and 60 MP FF?
What we will see is constant gradual increase in No. of MP's. The main reason is that it will make more money for the manufacturers, bacause it will translate to more uprades by the consumers. How much will people be willing to upgrade? Do I need a camera with so much resolution that I can take a w...

Online Tutorials?
Are there any good online tutorials for handling digital photos? I'm a recent convert from film, so I'm not used to (non-darkroom) image manipulation. I'd rather not re-invent the wheel, and although I'm willing to spend time to learn, I'd like to learn from others mistakes and long hours of pioneer...

Re: Raw Cropping?
That's too bad, as I often find myself cropping images, and I feel that having a cropped RAW file would speed the post-processing quite a bit.

Raw Cropping?
Is there any software that will let me crop a RAW image and save that cropped image as a RAW? The reason I ask is that I have quite a few photos from last Sunday's Christmas program at Church. Most, to get the whole set of kids, are of the whole stage, but I want to cut the foreground and much of th...

Re: Very Basic Question
Debra, The camera can properly meter the light thru the lens as you're viewing, however when you attach the flash it has no idea as to your exposure until the flash fires, or pre-fires in the pre-TTL mode. Reading thru the flash forum, it seems that several of the flash model sometimes need to be ca...

Re: DxO for A100?
This is a VERY late reply, but I've been using the trial version of DXO for a couple of weeks, and I like it. Mind you, I'm new to digital - I've always been a film man - so YMMV. It's also on sale until the end of the year! You can also download trial versions of Bibble, which I haven't tried yet, ...
Re: Honey
As a beekeeper, it's hard not to eat so much you get sick, at least when harvesting!
In good years you can pick out the pink cells from the cherry blossoms, and get great cherry flavored honey. Too bad there's never enough for more than a taste.
Maybe I should find a cheery orchard to put them in!

Hello From St. Louis, - USA
Greeting all! I found this site a few months ago when looking into rumours of Sony's bringing out a FF camera, and finally started to register. I got my photographic start at 8, when my oldest sister broke the rules and spent more than allotted for the Christmas exchange and gave me a Kodak Instamat...
