I use the DxO Raw converter and export as a DNG file which I open in CS5 ACR.
When doing this there is an additional choice in camera calibration called embedded.
I assume this is the DxO color profile for the camera and it looks better than the default ACR profile.
Cheers,

Exporting DxO as DNG to LR3b2
Try this for the best of all worlds with high iso pictures. LR3b2 is famous for its color NR which gets rid of splotchy colors. DxO has the time consuming demosaicing that gets a nice fine grain which is better for luminance NR. Set Color NR to 50 and Luminance NR to 0. Export the DxO file as a DNG ...

Re: DXO Won't read my A900 ARW
DxO is so buggy they should be paying us to use it instead of the other way around. Their copy protection is problematic (see my earlier thread) and this is for a program that is full of bugs. DxO v6.1.1 is much nicer. It seems their support for Macs is not as fast. The new Windows interface is bet...

Re: DXO Won't read my A900 ARW
Unless I'm mistaken, the Sony IDC package writes changes back into the RAW file. If you do this, DxO cannot open them. Could this be the issue? On a similar note. If you open the files in ACR you should have the preferences in ACR set to write to sidecars so it doesn't change the original file. You...

Re: DXO Won't read my A900 ARW
DxO works fine for me and I shoot cRaw+jpg.David Kilpatrick wrote:It probably will not read cRAW - the older versions only read uncompressed Sony raws.
David
There is a problem with occasional lockups when using the crop and or horizon tool which I hope they resolve soon.
I use it with Win 7.
Cheers.

Re: DXO Won't read my A900 ARW
Shame its so buggy because the results are fantastic...when it works. My Pentax DNG files run through DXO ok, as do D700 raws. But most of my ARW A900 files are not working. I do have batches of A900 ARW files which are ok, but most not. The ones which DXO doesn't like work fine with ALL other prog...

Sorry you're having problems. It ran fine on vista for me, and still does after upgrading to Windows 7.
Good luck,

Re: DxO 6 installed, won't run
I got an email today from DxO inviting me to download their new DxO 6 and try it out. I downloaded the file, about 106mb. I am on Vista. Before installing I did as I usually do and rebooted. No other applications running. Installed smoothly and without error. When I try to run DxO the mouse cursor ...

Re: DXO
DxO Optics Pro also bridges or plugs into Lightroom. I do not fully understand how yet, need to try it. David Hi David, My experience with DxO is the Photoshop plugin is not the way to go. It strips the Exif. After talking with the DxO tech support people I have found the best way to use DxO is to ...
