Re: a700 ability
Hi I'm with Michelle on the silly questions front. I'd love to know. My sone is doing music at college and uni and I took a few of his gig at college but they were rubbish as I havent a clue how to set the camera for indoor low light stuff. How do you get the light as per the stage lighting and do y...

Sunrise - Nova Scotia style.
Hi All - following on from the very lovely sunset shots recently I thought I would post some sunrise ones. I don't usually get up this early but I was still on Britsh time and it was well worth it.

Re: Zeiss 24-70 Sweet spot
Ooo chocolate. Ooo Zeiss 24-70. I want one!! I think. Still cant decide if I need a wider angle. Got stung on Ebay trying to buy a Minolta G 17-35mm lens which wasn't. So now I'm indecisive all over again. Lovely shot.

Re: A850 and 28-75 in Jessops at £1299
Oh sooooo jealous. My A850 cost around £1800. And although I'm skint I'm desperately trying to find a wide - ish angle zoom lens for it to replace the Carl Zeiss 16-80mm which sits permanently on my A350. Anyone finding a cheap 24-70mm please let me know.

Landscape wide angle zoom for full frame
Hi All,
I'm looking to buy and good wide angle zoom lens for my full frame Sony. I've currently got a Carl Zeiss16-80mm lens which I use on my A350 but it is a cropped sensor lens. Can anyone recommend a good equivalent for the A850. [ /color]

[quote="Birma"]The Eden Project was obviously a great place to photograph flowers (I have some more sets to share in the Flowers thread.)
I love the shot of Alium if that it what the purple round one is. It's superb. Your photos are making me most envious of your trip.

Re: Water Shots
Henry - love the water fall shot above. What shutter speed did you use? I used ISO 100 at f16 in order to get a shutter speed of 1/6 second at 18mm. I had no tripod with me so braced myself very well and then let SSS do it's magic. :) It worked well. I think the 1/6th captures the water well as the...

Hi Birma I like the black and white but the dome segments spoil it for me by getting in the way of the leaves. Eden project???

Re: Water Shots
Nice sea shot Geo67. I'd have liked to see a more definite foreground object, but the waves look great as do the wet rocks. The second one needs an ND Grad I feel for the sky and maybe a little more of the base of the water fall. These things I am learning from the guys above. Henry - love the wate...
