Re: Water Shots
Hi Anna, interesting shots. I really like the colours relfected in #1 and the sense of movement in #2. Just imho of course, but in both the 'action' is a bit central in the frame - you could try compsoing the shots with the main subject off centre (or on a 'third'?) Ah Yes! That rule of thirds. Bit...

Re: Leaves 2010
Leaves was one of the first shots I took with a digital camera, easy to spot, plenty of them, lots of variety and all sorts of shapes and sizes. Good to practice on really. I love the backlit one.

Re: Flowers 2010
Love the roses. Such crisp sharp shots. Mine are a bit more "fuzzy" - mainly because I've been experimenting with my macro lens. The two below are primroses from my garden.

Great to see the Doc is back as well :D Anna, interesting to see a Bluebell in bud - not something I've seen photographed much. Lovely bokeh. It would be interesting, from a ...

Whale watching - what sort of lens?
Can anyone help? I'm oof to Nova Scotia in a few weeks and one plan is to go whale watching - humpbacks hopefully. What would be the best lens to take? I have a 16-80mm Carl Ziess and a Sigma 150-500mm. I know it sounds like a daft question but I am led to believe that sometimes the whales come qui...

Water Shots
Hi everyone. Not being fab as you are at landscapes I have taken some water shots of the River Dart that I would like to share with you. Any feedback you have would be great as I am always striving to learn. Plus any water shots you have would be great to see too.

Re: Leaves 2010
I love all the leaf shots, so much variety and so many different visions Here is my contribution. An autumn shot I'm afriad but Sycamore leaves on the move and multicoloured. In the midst of a low patch it really cheered me up.
Taken with my A350 and a Carl Zeiss 16-80mm lens.

Wow from me too. I love the Astrantia. So crisp and clear. Very inspiring. I've just bought a new A850 but haven't had much time to try it out yet. This will help get me feeling creative.
