The tech details were subject under open shade, camera A700 lens Sigma 70 - 200 f2.8 HSM f5.6 150mm 1/500s
I've just had a canvas print made and it looks great, I don't mind the hand as it is in context, more importantly neither do her mam and dad (the source of the enormous hand)
Best wishes

Re: Gallery for magazine
Hi David,
Sorry to hear about the demise of the magazine, but thanks in advance for the annual, I am really looking forward to it.
I love looking at images from all sources and there is a real need for this sort of publication as far as im concerned.
Best wishes

First for a while
Hi Everyone, This is my first post for quite a while - lots going onin life and not enough hours in the day. One of my wifes cousins dropped by for a visit with their baby daughter and while they were here I took a few shots. This is the one they like best and want for their wall at home. I think it...

Re: A visit to St Abbs
Thanks for the kind comments, it really is a nice part of the world. Some technical details, all images taken with Sony A700. Two lenses used KM 17 - 35 and Sigma 70 - 200 f2.8. The first three images were all stitched panoramas (7 pics, 6 pics and 10 pics respectively) PTGUI used for the stitching....

Re: A visit to St Abbs
Hi David, Yes we went and had a drink in the cafe, it was very nice, the staff were very pleasant, strangely the whole town was very quiet, lovely place though and I intend to go back. On the walk down to the sea front from the out of town carpark we passed a field with a very young foal, it was jus...

A visit to St Abbs
We had a drive up to St Abbs on the South East Scotish coasy yesterday, what a lovely place - we also popped into Eyemouth on the way back. A visit to Yorkshire

Re: Some HDR work
Thanks for the comments everyone, the HDR shots are still a work in progress, I haven't found my final workflow, or settled on my favourite software yet, it's always useful to find how others see your work as sometimes you get to close to the process.

Re: Shot in the dark: snow geese and winter moon
Very nice shots, I particularly like the first one, I think its to do with the numbers of geese giving a feeling of motion.

Re: Some HDR work
I like the idea of trying to show an extended dynamic range, but I am still trying to find a workflow that I am totally happy with. These are all three image HDR's using the A700 2EV auto bracketing feature and all processed direct from RAW (exposures = -2, 0 and +2). Because of the low light partic...
