Re: B&W Japan: New Album

Nice to be reminded of that album Henry - so many fabulous street scenes captured. I especially like the two young friends off to school from 2003, and the sleeping on the train sequence. If you didn't have the dates on the photos then I would really struggle to know which are older and which are ne...

Re: Fast Boats

All great shots JT that really tell the story, and make me want to be there. I especially like numbers 2 and 3. These have great depth and great action in the third.

Autumn Lanndscapes

I was hoping to capture some misty mornings this past weekend. Saturday had lots of mist, but too much cloud to let any interesting light through. Sunday had lots of light, but not much mist and no cloud. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures from Sunday morning. The first is before the sun was prop...

Re: Visiting the past in Virginia

I agree; there is a lot of interesting new stuff coming for all of the 'chasers'. I think the Nikon and Canon releases are still just following their established ranges. Perhaps that is just the way it works when you have so much of the market. If I was starting from scratch I think I might be tempt...

Very interesting article, Henry. Will have to give it a try; particularly interested to see what it does to noise.

Re: Cards on the table....

Hi Mike, My first thought was that £3k for the A99II seemed expensive. However, the Canon 5D mkIV is £3.6k and the Sony A7R mkII has just gone up to £3k. This starts to make Nikon look like a really good move :) . Also moving to APS-C with the A77, D500 or 7Dmk2 if you want telephoto and AF. I would...
