Re: Long exposure in night street...
How did you get those yellow lights to streak? From what I can make up from the image, those are some form of non-moving lights (no car or anything). Were you moving when you took it? Mark The objective of the picture was to mix different kind of light for a 30s exposure. So the flashing yellow lig...

Re: ISO equivalent A900 versus D600
At the moment the A900 uses mostly the Tamron 28-105mm SP F2.8 who is not that bad (but not the best also). In a small bag I bring the Tamron 14mm 2.8 and the Zeiss 135mm 1.8. I found the total of this kit usable with my Nex 7 setup for an event a few week ago. For the close focus ... I think we can...

Re: Now the excited owner of the NEX-6
For the microphone, hope for you Sony will create some external hot shoes device that will be compatible with the NEX 6. After that is we are lucky, this will result in three single pin for the left/right microphone that can be populate to provide external source to the sound. Almost like this proje...

Re: Now the excited owner of the NEX-6
My NEX-6 kit with 16-50 lens also arrived today. Seems everything works well. Pleased so far although not been able to test lens due to weather. I am an outdoor shooter primarily. The complaints about USB charging is a red herring for owners of other NEX bodies in that the battery fits into the cur...

Re: Challenge #49 - The Change
Frank - boot lifting water - amazing shot. Never seen before. You know how long photography has been around, and how hard it is to show an original image? It is almost impossible not to take a picture which has been taken before. And then you do that. I have seen millions of pictures, and I've neve...

Re: Challenge #49 - The Change
I'm in Guadalajara this week for work so no chance for changing color outside ... , but I'm lucky I have done a walk with Evan Saturday. Re: Got the 135mm 1.8 Zeiss tonight ...
My bad Joe, welcome to the forum also.
On my side I will be very interested to see the Leica in action on this Video camera. I don't know how fare the sensor react to very hard angle ray of light. For sure, the 135mm 1.8 has no negative , except its weight and size.

I have not tried it yet in video, but it is probably a very interesting choice. The close focus will give you interesting possibility.

Re: And again portraits
First one for me, and If I would be allow to do post processing I will removed the nose piercing, because it put to much emphasis on the front focus of the picture and distract us from those beautiful lips ... . Probably a little bit more vignetting ...

Retirement is when you stop doing something that you don't have the energy and the passion to do :-) ... (for my definition), so technically you can work at the last day of your life ... This age for the retirement has been set long time ago because the average people was not able to survive more th...
