Re: Mt. Olympic National Park, Washington, USA
Thank you Valery. Different view and the darkness started seeping in. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51285340644_521392f5ef_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51284563746_5f441cfe85_b.jpg That house was across the lake. I was quite pleased by the details captured by the Sony 70-400 lens ...

Re: Old camera appreciation!
I did not remove the battery in all my cameras including DimageA2 last used circa 2006. Of course when I turned the camera on, the battery was dead and when I charged and put it back in, voila, everything was working. Though the battery was "dead", it had enough residual charge to keep the...

Re: Mt. Olympic National Park, Washington, USA
Valery, I did almost all of them as bracketed shots. That helped me a lot. I could have tried in-camera HDR and save a lot of work (had to work with 75GB data). Sury https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51284575126_2b329269b3_b.jpg Crescent lake. Clear water and reflection. https://live.staticflickr....

Love the view Yildiz.
Barry, I usually like contrasty B&W pictures but this one tells me to broaden my interest.

Re: Mt. Olympic National Park, Washington, USA
Valery, it is very interesting. The four days we stayed the weather was damp and cool with poor lighting for photography. Two weeks later, the entire Pacific Northwest was burning up with 40oC and higher. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51284762903_8cc95c41db_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/...

Mt. Olympic National Park, Washington, USA
Elwha river, Mt. Olympic National Park. Again, stymied by dark skies, sporadic rain and poor lighting, I resorted to HDR. A beautiful area and if only weather cooperated. On the other hand, may be weather did cooperate and I got lucky enough to get an unusual summer view. This is a 9 image panorama ...

Snoqualmie Falls
During our recent 4 day trip to Seattle, it was raining on and off, cloudy, and damp. That was a couple of weeks before the heatwave hit Pacific Northwest where daytime high temperatures were around 42oC. Snoqualmie waterfalls has a hydroelectric station at the foot of it. The falls serve like a dam...

Re: Space Needle, Seattle, Washington
Barry, Indeed. Given the number of visitors, and no known "incidents", it is safe to say that glass is strong enough. Sury I am really enjoying the wide angle lens. Though I wish I got Min 17-35 f2.8, the Sigma 17-35f2.8-4 is no slouch either. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/5128553598...
