Re: What about a Zeiss macro lens?

Wow meneer, 'n verassing om jou hier te kry.

Enige Zeiss lens sal 'n aanwins vir die Sony reeks wees. Daar is net een klein probleemtjie, die prys!! Maar die Sony 105 Macro is 'n uitstekende lens.

Re: my first weddingshoot

Very different from shooting kingfishers!!! Images nice and sharp, lighting well handled. Weddings can be nerve wrecking, no second chances. Think you did well here!

Re: Bees

Thanks Yildiz. Only use photobucket when I have to post an image from a web address.

Nice pic Birma. Portrait crop would remove some of the "business". Bee nice and sharp.

Thanks Gustav. Waiting eagerly for your images.

Re: kingfisher

It will be interesting to hear your stories of how you get these great shots in your part of the world compared to Gustav in Holland. For your information I will share today's experience with you. I got up at 4.30 this morning, left home by 5am and arrived at the place where I was hoping to see a M...

Re: kingfisher

Gustav, Thank you. You are very right, it is not so easy to capture these Kingfishers. Mine are not so close like yours, they are normally found at rivers and at swamps and I haven't found their "home" like you have beem able to. I have shot these with my A700 and my SIgma 500mm F4.5 lens....

Re: kingfisher

Wow Gustav, your images are fantastic. I am also a really big fan of kinfishers. The Malachite Kingfisher is my favourite of all. I think yours is the Half Collared Kingfisher. Maybe you can confirm this. I post a few of my images for you to see. MK1 http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn99/RobbieA_0...

Re: homeward bound.

well my town only has about 20 houses all along one street. so it's not a great place to take "this is my hometown" style pictures. Also since I just got my 28-135 and it needed a test run I figured I'd take some pictures of some of the sites on my commute home from work to try out this l...
