first go at high speed sync flash

this is broad daylight with a very cluttered background, the HSS flash is 1/1250th sec, it lights the subject but is to fast to register the background, this is my grandaughter acting as a model, I should have used a reflector but I'm still learning

when I use the 16-80 on the nex 6 with the LA EA2 adaptor it has a nice balance to it and not in the least cumbersome

the 16-50 tends to get a bad press from people who have never used it,probably never even seen it in the flesh,their info is reading reviews and picking out all the bad bits, as no two reviews are the same,there is no place like forums for your info, ordinary people using the lens for ordinary thing...

it certainly does,
unfortunately my cz16-80 does not manual focus, I only found out when I got the Nex and I'm a great fan of DMF, I could not part with the lens though, it was always my on camera lens.

what is the difference sury, I chose the dmap version on mines, for no other reason than I just did.
I think I prefer your pmx version

Yes I tried, but it only is a viable technique on static objects. I found it pretty hard at (close to) 1:1 magnification in real world macro situations. I had a static insect sitting on a flower, tripod, camera with Live View and focus magnification with the Tamron 90mm macro. Weather was calm, no ...

here's my first go at a flower, it does make a difference to my eyes, this was an 8 image stack and a bit windy outside so aligning seems to have done a very good job
