Re: Not everyone's cup of tea
Enjoyed them all. Sury Sury Thank you. Glad you enjoyed them. Why did you settle on this particular form of processing? What does it add that was absent previously? They are interesting images but I tend to think that you were looking for something more than just interesting. Thanks for your consid...

Not everyone's cup of tea
Recent posts prompted me to upload a few images I have been working on. My apologies that these are yet more images from my trip to Cuba. For some reason the images I took on that trip more than any other seem to cry out to me for some form of manipulation. The "straight" photos somehow ju...

Re: The Revenge
Hi Mike and Yildiz, Thanks for raising the question and for the answer. I have had similar problems in the past. Now I know the answer.
Mike, love the photo. The mono works a treat.

Re: Senior Pictures. Oh the pressure.
I agree with Yildiz and Sury. IMHO if it were my image I would get rid of the highlights in the top left corner. My eye gets drawn there and I find them distracting.

Re: Birds 2015
Lovely images all.
Sury I particularly like the shot of the Coot. I find trying to get detail in a bird that has black plumage a real struggle but you have caught the bird beautifully.

Re: Cruise Ships
UrsaMajor Very nice. I see too where the float plane base is now located. Several years ago before the new terminal was built I spent some time watching the movement of the aircraft as they took off and landed. I tried some video footage but a pile driver started up near to the cruise terminal and d...

Re: Cruise Ships
Sury Good observation. When they built the QE they modified the design of the stern to accommodate more cabins. Her sister ship the Queen Victoria has a slightly more pleasing appearance. Cunard Three Queens_.jpg IMHO none of the ships matches the grace, elegance or romance of the original Queen Mar...

A picture from the Isle of Skye during my trip in February. Birma, Wow! Simply beautiful. Your images from Skye are inspirational. Haven't visited yet but I really must get my act into gear and go there. ValeryD Lovely images. They bring back memories of a great trip on the "Canadian" fro...

Re: Cruise Ships
The middle one certainly looks like a container ship with that grey looking like a big rectangle. Sury Sury Here is an image taken some minutes later as that ship, the Queen Elizabeth, passed by. _DSC0402-QUEEN ELIZABETH_.jpg A different style of cruising with this super-yacht. She was built in 193...

Re: Landscape 2015
Hi Yilditz Is there any HDR applied to these shots, so that the foreground was nicely showered with light while the rainy sky was gradually darkening in the background as in the 3rd shot? Thank you for your comments. I was just lucky to be there at the right time. The sun caught the yellow flowers o...
