16MP FF would be nice, Sony will see a lot of A700/A350 upgrader, probably including me

A500, A550, A850 all future models are lined up there. Looks like we'll hear something exiting or very depressing pretty soon

Re: Sony polls for interest in Video DSLRs
I agree with PhotoTraveller, this poll cannot be the only source for the big decision. They already have decided and implemented. Till now they have only 16 responses

Re: A few from NYC
I don't recall seeing this post earlier. Sorry! I like the second one the best. Your other photo of the same couple is better, I think. Good panorama. How many frames did you take and what software did you use to stitch them? Thanks. 7 frames stitched with Hugin. This is actually a poor quality ver...

Re: Poster printing help
You can just use Bicubic Interpolation, Smoother, if you want to. There is actually no need to upscale unless you can already detect a hint of visible pixels on the 24 x 36. The 30 inch size is not a massive increase, if it looks good at 24 x 36 it will probably look goo at 30 x 45. But you could u...

Happy couple 2
Which one would you like most? BW or color? I like the BW shot but couldn't get rid of the flare. 50 1.7 is flare king. I am getting rid of it. Hope 50 1.4 is better in that land. Re: DXO vs LR2 once again
Okay little less processed from DXO, light sharpening, Auto distortion, CA and vignetting correction, no other PP. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3531/3709513727_22851ba03b_b.jpg For comparison: IDC. No PP. See how different it is from embedded jpeg. Color looks washed out. http://farm3.static.flick...

Re: Happy couple.
I thought I'd chime in and let you know I prefer the original. :D Vignetting, camera at arm's length, people in the background, and all. Most of all you've got to keep the camera in the final image, it gives context to their expressions and eliminates a lot of cropping awkwardness. I agree Kevin, i...

Re: Happy couple.
I think you're right. So everything in the picture except the girl's face is a distraction. Rather than seeing the camera, I would rather wonder what she was smiling about. Just a suggestion ... I am not sure if I liked it .. it seems something missing from left .. may be a little less crop would ma...

Re: DXO vs LR2 once again
Call me crazy, but I like the embedded jpg most out of this set. The first two look to me like exquisitely processed pictures, while the third makes me feel like I'm there. I suppose that out of the first two I like the first for its preservation of the subtle detail and contrast in the distant tre...
